This seems a good idea i will have a look for one.
Getting longer grease nipples is also a good idea but difflock only stock one type so is it a one sizes fits all?
I ground down the head of the gun to point where it was almost breaking through and it still wasn't enough, it also makes no difference if the prop is off.
Im wondering whether you can get tiny heads for grease guns?
When tryiing to grease my rear propshaft which has thin (75mm) uj's i find the head of my grease gun wont fit between the yokes, i tryed grinding down the head of the gun but that didnt work, the only thing i can think of is to fit some stupidly long grease nipples.
Does anyone else have this problem and is there a solution?
I have the dewalt 18v one and i love it, its so conveniant, i have 2 batterys which you do need realy. its not realy upto big jobs though.
I find its useful for small jobs but i would get a corded one aswell for bigger jobs.
I think it makes sense to have it in the bottom hose because if you are stationary then the rad wont work as effeciantly so the output(bottom hose) will getter hotter until the fan kicks in. then when you get moving the rad will become efficient again so the water will come out the bottom cooler and the fan will switch off.
If you have it in the top i think it will end up running when it doesnt need to.
I had this happen to me, i checked the splines on the gearbox first as its easy and then i took the clutch off and found that the centre had broke of from the clutch plate, pedal felt fine but would transmit any drive. hope this helps
ive just got my hands on a td5 speedo with 50,000 on the clock and i need to get it to 120,000 how do you do it as i cant justify spending £75 to have it done? any advice would be great.
can anyone recommend a set of springs that give about 2" lift, whilst being nice and soft as my 2" lift springs are solid, also i have a front winch so need to be able to take the weight
Ok thanks for the link, anyone got any ideas on the drive gear this thread http://forums.lr4x4.com/index.php?showtopic=2025 has all the options but i dont know how to decide which one is best? and also ive got a TIM water temp gauge and when i turn the dash lights on it makes it move up sometimes not by much but sometimes it makes it move alot any ideas what this could be?
Im just building up the parts to do this conversion and have found the information here very useful 2 quick question, i have 35" tyres does anyone have a part no for a speedo gear to correct the speedo reading? Does anyone have a website where i can get the transducer from?
thanks in advance
My amp is mounted under the passenger seat to the removeable battery cover, i put it here because its fairly well protected by the seat, as long as you dont wade deep enough to drown it.
