  1. The closest thing would be eastnor green, but i don't think it's that.
  2. Some very interesting stuff, includes info on, injectors, nozzles etc and the different types of VE and PE pumps how they work. Theres tables and diagram galore, its by no means light reading : http://www.amazon.co.uk/Diesel-Engine-Management-Robert-Bosch-GmbH/dp/0470026898/ref=sr_1_3?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1359169650&sr=1-3 And for just general info and conversion tables, physics, maths and engineering: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Automotive-handbook-Robert-Bosch-GmbH/dp/3184180042/ref=sr_1_12?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1359169650&sr=1-12
  3. There's a book available by Bosch on the VE pumps, some of the info is here: http://www.dieseltruckresource.com/dev/showthread.php?t=231914
  4. Yeah B.A.S. http://bellautoservices.co.uk/ do the 200 tdi VNT turbo they are the same as the IRB turbo, i like IRB stuff and have used them before, but they're impossible to get in contact with.
  5. I'm seeing more an more of the gearbox wiring rubbing through on the td5 defenders, I've done about one a month since september last year.
  6. I've a few old series i wanted to re-register and rebuld, I tried the series 2 club...to say the guy was unhelpful is an understatement Can you get the info from Gaydon?
  7. Have you made a shaft to suit with the FTC5090? I've got a gearbox out of a scrap DAF and i think i can probably do a deal on a 6BT with a mate i think i could be very tempted to put one in my 130 Flat bed
  8. I have a Portasol one as well (same as sold by snap-on, but of course the snap-on one is nearly twice the price) and i absolutely love it. I've been through a few others and they are terrible in comparison, good heat adjustment, the gas last a long time and the attachments seem to be a good quality and theres a good selection in the box with it.
  9. Yeah i've used one of his: http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Mosside-rovers
  10. Ahhh that makes sense now Ralph. Really helpful chap. Does anyone know what style of crimping tool is best for those sorts of connectors?
  11. Email that guy with a picture he's very helpful, he didn't have what i was after, but give me a guy who did.
  12. This guy sells them, really helpful and quick http://www.ebay.co.u...=item2578e8b0c9
  13. There are two grey wiring plugs on the bulkhead (engine side) exactly the same and same colour you haven't plugged them in to the wrong one i've seen one exactly the same as this and that was the problem after the guy changed the engine. It would crank and not fire.
  14. I know either Bearmach or All makes are moving at the minute and the other closes on wednesday, so if its not in stock it'll be january no doubt now.
  15. Silly question i hope, but it's not like some VAG stuff with the bleed nipple on the master cylinder as well?
  16. That'll teach me i didn't see it was an auto! I work at them everyday as well they can be a right pain in the behind sometimes. I'd be measuring the fuel pressure with a gauge to see what you are getting.
  17. Stick half a tank in it and tow it. Its full of air from the sounds of it.
  18. Britpart stuff seems to be getting better, i think they are actually making an effort to weed out the carp and listen to their customers. I've fitted loads of there brake discs and never had a problem. Most of the people that bash the stuff never actually have tried it or of the "all the gear no idear" type i think. I'm not saying it's all good stuff, but by all means you get what you pay for and the way some people go about fitting or fixing Land Rovers would make you cry in disbelief That comes from working on them day in day out.
  19. I would maybe try and pick up a second hand snap on one, they do degrees which is pretty essential for tdi head gaskets.
  20. Sorry i think you have mis-understood i want to use it where it exits the rocker cover corner. I'm finding alot of the problems on the earlier td5s where i am having to remove the entire engine harness to make repairs and i want to sort out the problem of oil contamination once and for all.
