  1. I think, but I'm not expert, it was a recoiless rifle gunship. they used to have a 105mm recoiless rifle mounted on the back. You find them in Cypres alot. Although I thought they were only 2a's. So i could be wrong
  2. Does anyone have any suggestions on finding S111 Vent panels. After a bit of poking, mine is most definately swiss cheese. I know ashtree do them for 300ish, but as Im not worried about originality, etc, I'm open to suggestions. The other idea is does anyone have the drawings for the part/ or has knocked one up themselves? I'm happy to lose the vents anyway. Cheers Geoff
  3. Wow. thats one lucky fool. I wonder if not wearing steel toecaps actually saved his foot there?
  4. Did you manage to get the oil out of the concrete? That could be nasty if it stains
  5. I stand ready to be corrected, but does bio diesel not produce xx% less emissions then normal diesel. And how does this compare to a small car running normal diesel? Also are they really comparing themselves to the suffragettes?!
  6. Your forgetting that the post office cant accept items over (insert low number here) kilos. i think a ton is more then a 2 man lift you know!
  7. The auction house opposite pub on the midhurst road might be able to suggest someone? at least they might know someone local. Palletways are always quite good (I think its frederick miller that covers haslemere) we send some fairly large kit with them and the drivers seem good.
  8. I would be geuiniely interested to hear how exactly he gave his car to a garage, then never heard anything back! One would assume if it was reported stolen, the vehicle should have flagged up.
  9. Bit of a strange one, but does anyone know anything about these- they are south african origin but I belive there are a few in the UK, more in hungary, etc. If anyone knows of one in the UK, it would be fantastic to see one! thanks to any suggestions
  10. Its the crown exemption (although I dont think its called that any more) laws i think-same as why MoD vehicles dont need an MOT. It looks like they have taken a Snatch 2 and added a few bits- The doors, door surrounds, lights, roof-even the bull bars look like they are Snatch ones with a plastic bit on! Although that would make sense as the MoD have quite a few sitting around doing nothing! One would hope they havent gone out and bought a brand new vehicle
  11. if google ads pay per click on a link, is it worth, from the forums point of view, some sort of volountary link clicking thing to earn the forum more moeny?
  12. I put in another vote for RS-they are very helpful on the phone and stuff comes next day. cpc/Farnell keep losing our orders recently
  13. I have seen them struggle-we did an auto conversion into a very heavy 110 and the HP22 just didnt like it. If you stick the uprated one in, I would have thought you shouldnt have an issue. Dont get me wrong-they are very useful-particulaly towing a chipper with a load in the back, and with a v8 on the front-well i am very jealous! I had a search and couldnt find much-even my old post didnt have anything as i asked a similar question. It isnt an ex mil rapier converversion is it?
  14. Out of interest which box are you putting in? as judging by your name your a lopper in which case i wouldnt put an auto box in. Mounting wise you are only limited by the length of the selector cable, and finding somewhere strong enough to stop the body of it moving when you change gear. I think there are a few examples in old posts. I have seen it (recently i think) mounted as per the manual box, however raised up about 12 inches in a sort of cubby box you can still get 3 in there, but its just a bit friendly I beleive ashcrofts do a replacement tunnel-have a look on the site, however from memory it was very wide so your middle passenger would have no leg room
