Hello all, I know there are a number of vendors who produce aux tanks that fit into both rear fender of the Defender 90 and 110. I'm sure they are a great value to many, but I would like to fabricate my own. I'm sure they will be far from perfect, but a whole lot cheaper. Problem is I don't yet have my Defender 110 (not many of them in Canada) and I've struggled for weeks to find even rough dimensions of the fender spaces. I'm not trying to rip off anyone's hard work or design, I just really want to know the measurements of the spaces in the rear fenders of the Defender 110 so I can fabricate an additional 45L fuel tank as well as a 45L water tank for the opposite side. Can anyone help me out with some measurements? I'd really appreciate it. I'm not a master welder by any stretch, but before I buy my first Defender 110 I'd like to be able to rough in a couple of steel cans to add to my water and fuel capacity for my upcoming Africa overland trip.
