  1. Had my td5 110 for 100k Isn't used gently and used off road. regularly thrash it but do change oil every 6k, and full service every 10k, Been remapped with full width intercooler so shifts rather well up to nearly 100mph. just as happy bumbling along at 50mph. On the whole its pretty reliable, just treat injector seals/loom as service items due to oil seeping to ecu plug, keep it clean every so often and it'll be fine.
  2. Hi I can get the Modular rims only no tyres from Newport, South Wales to Lincoln hopefully but the buyer lives 3 hours further north so I was wondering if anyone makes the trip anywhere further north for the buyer to collect perhaps? Or if anyone goes from the South to Northumberland area then that would be even better! Kind Regards Kenny
  3. for not an lot more you can get a 2008 tdci 110 ht!

  5. Dave brewer on facebook sorted me on my winch comp 90, £120 for the year, all mods declared, 6 points and 1 claim and im 30. very impressed! will be transferring my 110 soon as sureterm policy runs out next october as that cost me 420 for me and the mrs. not half bad but i reckon dave would do it for half that.
  6. LRO and Nene overland go hand in hand judging by all the articles ive seen based at their premises.
  7. Hi all I have purchased a 2002 LM146 trailer the day before and It has old narrow 12" rims with an illegal spare and a tyre that lost its tread on the way home running empty on the motorway. I will be using this trailer to tow a winch comp 90 long distances so id like to get some good tyres ive been told its best to get wider tyres on 13" rims??? the ones we use at work on x3 2007 ifor 16 foot trailers are on 12" rims and 185/80r12c but i have been told 13" rims with 195.70.R13 tyres are better? Whats the forums opinion? Many thanks Kenny
  8. Thats a discovery middle console isnt it with the hand brake location etc etc That certainly is a proper job! all it needs is some TDCI XS heated seats and ur off!

  11. I use route buddy, 19,99 for entire map of wales, brill!
  12. Yes thats my reason for going to tri-axle to be more stable towing at 60mph especially with the tramlining you find in the UK, and also for going along A roads with twists and camber, more rubber on the road the better? not too concerned about the scrub of tyres when manoevering as it will only do 4-5k a year.
  13. No im not after more weight! just more rubber on the road as Ill be towing 1000miles each way couple times a year and my train of thought was that a extra axle would make it more stable and tow straight and be less suspectible to snaking so to speak? its only few extra kilos, the van I will be using to tow will ideally be a 413cdi or 515cdi lwb sprinter camper van so i will be allowed 6-7 ton train weight, i cant remember exactly. dirty, i did think so but I wanted a ifor ideally as a mate works for local ifor dealer so cheap parts and i use them all the time at work too :-)
  14. Hi there I was wondering if I bought a double axle 14 or 16' ifor williams trailer with a 3500kg gross if it was possible to add a extra axle to make it a tri-axle? Regards Kenny
  15. Hi all! Popped down to Wellington near Taunton, Somerset for a gander at the event, it was a great day, friendly people and lots of land rovers. mostly very dented and muddy bogs from hell and winching up sheer cliffs! Picked up a 2nd hand ARB compressor for £30 :-D was interesting walking around the 2 steep boggy sites with my healing broken foot immobilised in a AirCast! wet foot and much slipping and awkward climbing! thanks to the photographer guy in the white 90 for giving us lift to the burger van and the lady in a silver td5 discovery for saving us the 2 mile walk back to the car park from the quarry section! The quarry section was mental! pics are here all 95 of em on the following link http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10151018418125662.430950.502030661&type=1&l=2935174a17

  17. UKmail's www.ipostparcels.co.uk for the UK has been very impressive, I had a HD defender winch bumper which weighed in around 30kg and a metre and a bit long! sent to me from north england to south wales for £9.99 plus vat!
  18. id be interested in these if you want to sell em.
  19. As far as I know the track rod ends are fine, so could be the steering box? My 110 is a 2002 td5 and no the pedal isn't sticking down but the revs do catch up for a second or two then settles back down, ill have to quiz her about it but it appears to be after pulling away from a set of traffic lights. guess il find out tomorrow as a friend is driving it for me to see what it is before taking it on a 400mile drive.
  20. Hi there My mrs was driving round a corner and all of a sudden the steering wheel went too far and when straightened up the steering wheel was half a turn off then it went back to normal after the next corner, what could this be? I've not seen this before! Also she says it appears to over rev slightly sometimes? sorry for the lack of description I'm only going off what she said as I'm unable to drive it due to a broken foot!
  21. I can't make it but i will definatetly make the next one! I want lots of pics from this site :-D
