  1. Although I am not a competitor but a spectator I just like to say if you think of spectating but never been then go! My wife and I went along to the last round our first trip to the North West rounds although not many competitors (clash of dates) it was well organised and great course. But above all everyone was exceptionally friendly we had a great laugh and everybody made us most welcome even to us southern softies. So thanks to Chris hope you got your oil leak sorted.
  2. That's where we are staying in the Halfway Inn if anyone up for a drink in the bar in the evening.
  3. Hello Chris, We are travelling up to Bridgnorth area for that weekend the plan is Weston Park on Saturday and then come and spectate Sunday, first time to a North West round as we tend to stay South of the country. So looking forward to it, will it be sign posted well.
  4. Excellent thanks for reply thought I was going mad
  5. Hello All, hope you are all well. I have a little query! today while driving back from the agricultural suppliers a 90 was driving the other way towards me, it looked has if it just started off as it switched the lights on ( weather chucking it down). What I noticed was it was just the sidelights that come on only? now on mine I get sidelights and Headlights at the first movement on the stalk then full lights at second movement of the stalk. But the 90 had just sidelights only nothing from headlights has his lights gone pear shaped? Jon
  6. Thanks O Farmer, that's shed a great lot of light on things, thought it was to good to be true great link.
  7. Hello Everybody, hope you all had a good Christmas, I have been thinking about swapping my transfer box off a Disco onto my Defender for a while now, but I have not really been looking recently, but by chance one has come up so all well and good so you would think. Now don't get me wrong I am no expert on land rover but I am learning every day since owing mine for just over a year. I spoke to the seller he told me it would not fit my defender as it was a mk2 disco I needed a earlier version? ( linkage problems he said) I have a 2002 TD5 and the donor disco is a 2004 Td5, I was sure they would be a straight swap is this true or is there a bit more to it. Thanks for any help. Jon
  8. Thanks Western for your quick reply, I thought it would take a while for reply as everybody would full of left over Christmas pudding and watching kung fu panda.
  9. Hello All, does anybody know if their is a part number for the narrow piece of headliner above the rear door, struggling to find any thing related on the web. Many Thanks for help. Jon
  10. Thanks for that Simonb, just picked up reply so will check tomorrow I do know the earth straps are covered in under seal on the chassis, do you think its worth given it a good clean and refit? Big Mike the earth strap comes from right side near to the front of the battery box dives down and is bolted to side of chassis then a second length carries on towards the front then bolts to side of gearbox.
  11. Hello All this is my first post so be gentle with me, I have a problem with the electrics on my TD5 2002. Basically when I depress the brake pedal the headlights come on and at the same time the Temp Gauge and Fuel Gauge lights also come on!!!! Once you releases the brake pedal they go off, the lights are not effected in any way when I switch on the to side and main beam. Brake lights are working fine also, I recently fitted a Aux fuse box and wired in some accessories, I had a panic it was my fault ( not shying away from blame), so double checked all cables and disconnected the aux box Live and Earth cables so basically isolating all accessories. And the problem still exists. No wonder everybody was looking at me funny when out at the weekend as I was randomly flashing every one!! Many Thanks for any help Simps
