  1. LOL. That's the least of his worries. When I was editing the footage I cranked up the volume loud so you can hear the girls chatting better and if you listen really, really carefully at high volume.......................... you can actually hear the DISCO rusting!!
  2. Each year my guys put on a little course at a festival in the Northwest and run people over a specially designed course. Just enough to give them a thrill. Not enough to risk any real danger. It's a lot of fun but even more so when someone like this gets in your motor!
  3. I forget his title but there is something like a harbour master.beach master. He was only too happy to help.
  4. We were laning with Portuguese lads. Apparently they don't bother with UK trucks but go to town on their own people where every single non standard mod has to be registered!
  5. We were in Portugal earlier this year. Love their attitude to laning although police were a bit tough on modifications!
  6. Ah right. I always heard that they positively encouraged you to drive on the little lanes linking each little village to keep them open. Sounds like that's no longer the case!
  7. Your South of France aren't you? I hear a lot of good things about the coastal areas of France. Don't the French encourage people to try and keep lanes and links between villages open?
  8. A bit longer than usual this film but well worth it. I went out with a local fella and a GLASS rep on a day covering the Shropshire/Herefordshire border area. A great combination of lanes but a brilliant little group that ran through tight scratchy valleys with axle twists, big leans and some fun water crossings. I get bombarded with requests for lane info so just for something a bit different I’ve also included some basic lane info in the video description. Just enough I think for someone who can read a map to go and find them. http://youtu.be/oFvT43O3G-Q
  9. near Brilley Not sure what this forums attitude is on supplying lane info
  10. After hearing a lot about it, I went out to film Chainsaw Alley in Shropshire at the weekend. I’m not sure the video does it justice but what a brilliantly technical lane. A bit of everything and incredibly tight almost all the way through. I think almost everyone took a few knocks. Embarrassed to say I wimped out of taking my lifted 110 through and jumped in with someone else!
  11. Last weekend I got involved with the Lowrangers All Terrain course at the Northwich festival. Each year it gets that little bit better and this year instead of lots of improvised obstacles, we had a lot of professionally made steel ramps. Lots of fun and trickier to drive than you’d think. We took hundreds of people over the course. Probably a little bit too busy at times but it’s great to see the look on people’s faces who have never done anything like this.
  12. I got involved in an enthusiasts tribute event last weekend. We got permission from the harbour master to have Red Wharf Bay for the day (the birthplace of Land Rover) and had some fun in the sand. If you listen really carefully………………really carefully…………………you can almost hear the Land Rovers rusting. http://youtu.be/ndSbrr1tpJY
  13. Haha. Yeah that was a fun day out but man did I get some mixed reaction on that video. The hairy feminists were out in force!!
  14. It's very similar if I'm honest. Maybe a little more challenging but the real bonus is the camping site overlooking the bay and of course the fact that it's half the price!
  15. I went to this place a few weeks ago. http://www.cyfanneddwoods4x4.co.uk/. Basically overlooking Barmouth. Space to camp and a great location to go on and do some of the major lanes in that area. I'm not normally a fan of pay and play but this was different because it was massive, had great scenery and felt very much like you were laning. The only difference being where you’d usually see a track cutting up and not drive it, because it was pay and play, you could let yourself go a bit and test your motor. I’d highly recommend it. https://youtu.be/cPHszC0whdA https://youtu.be/N9QPBLwq96Q
  16. This is the afternoon section of a brilliant day we did recently in Bala forest. Some challenging terrain and some nice deep water. It also shows us driving up the track that when driving back down we had the accident on, so an interesting alternate look at the terrain where our mate rolled his 90. https://youtu.be/PuCH3NQcZDE
  17. After all the various calamities of the day, we did actually do some miles through the forests of Bala and it's a fantastic place. Amazing scenery sprinkled with some nice little challenges. This is the morning part of the drive through rocky moorland, ancient forestry and then some brand new tracks created by recent logging work. https://youtu.be/NlDMVanqiCU
  18. You've probably seen the kind of films I make about off roading and Green Laning. This just goes to show it doesn't always go to plan when I’m trying to get in amongst the action. https://youtu.be/-hm9dSjKBfc
  19. I agree other than the guy leading did the same thing exactly but his wheel didn't slip into the gulley.
  20. I went with a group of mates for a drive around a logging forest in Bala at the weekend. Amazing scenery and fantastic tracks but not for the first time one of our guys got it badly wrong on what looked like a simple track. https://youtu.be/VHOHEQRVnpE
  21. Yeah that's all definitely definitely legal and frequently used. Have a look on your OS around the Diggle area. In fairness it isn't my route so I don't really like to dish out the info.
  22. This will be my last film of the year and the footage was shot just before the Christmas break. The Oldham area trip is our bread and butter local day out but this one was a bit more special because of the weather. The morning mist was still swirling around the towns so we got some pretty impressive and atmospheric views as we climbed out of the city and into the hills. Happy New Year to anyone who has watched and enjoyed my films in 2014. With a Portugal laning trip a Coast to Coast run and a possible French Battlefield tour in the planning, 2015 should be just as exciting.
  23. This is the 2nd part from a recent day I spent in Bala forest. All of this was shot in the afternoon and the last segment was great fun wading out through flooded tracks under the setting sun. A brilliant way to finish the day.
  24. This was only 10 days ago and he was fine then, so unless something has happened since!
