  1. Just changed the rear disks and calipers on my 78 rangie. Went for a drive and it feels like there an on/off switch on the brakes. If I touch the pedal the brakes lock on. They don't stay locked but it's like the pedal is being sucked from under my foot. Not a nice feeling. Changed the master cylinder and still the same problem. Anyone had this before, maybe my servo has just gone or something? Micheal
  2. Anyone know how to decipher 300tdi engine number. Mine is 21L19871A it's a 300 out of a disco but It's in a rangie. I was just curious as to what year it was. Micheal
  3. Thanks for that guys. I'm going to tee that pipe into the line that goes from the top corner of the rad to the thermostat housing. Not sure about the Expansion Tank Ejector Valve. Do you have a part no. for that? Do you think that trick would work by using the bleed plug on top of the thermostat housing Nstead of the pipe as It's difficult to get assistance but I think I could tighten the plug while blowing in the reservoir myself (who says men can't multi task) Should be nice and tasty now I put in a load of antifreeze last night. I was envisaging cutting a power hump in the bonnet to accomodate a higher expansion tank which might ruin the lines of the bonnet some what. Micheal
  4. Hi guys Looking for a bit of help from disco owners please. I have a 300Tdi from a disco in my 78 range rover. The guy that put it in blanked off the small bore hose from the reservoir. Could some one have a look under their bonnet and tell me where this hose is supposed to go please? My engine is mounted very high to clear the steering box but it means that the reservoir has to be full to the neck to ensure that the thermostat housing is full to the bleed plug. Can anyone see any problems with this lack of expansion capacity? All advice greatly recieved. Micheal
  5. Hi guys Looking for a bit of help from disco owners. I have a 300Tdi engine out of a disco in my 78 rangie but the guy that done it just blanked off the small hose that comes out of the reervoir. Could any one have a look under their bonnet and tell me where this pipe is supposed to go please? My engine is very high so that to fill the rad and bleed out of the thermostat housing bleed screw the reservoir has to be almost full to the neck. Does any one reckon that this lack of expansion space will cause a problem? All advice greatly appreciated. Micheal
