  1. Maybe it's time for a change anyway. Remember the heady days, when the West Indies reigned supreme & no team could get past them? Then the Aussies knocked them off their perch & took their place as world leaders in Cricket, & the WI were really carp for many years. Maybe they still are. So, it's now England's turn with new players etc. They have been carp for many years too. The Aussies are now getting on a bit (all except Brett Lee, who SWMBO seems to get orgasmic over, & god knows what she gets up to when I leave her in front of the telly ) & some won't be available for the next Test Series anyway. Warnie won't be, so he says. Still, anything can happen as we have seen, so who knows? The Aussies certainly seem to have lost some of their magic though. Des. Your down under Sports Correspondent.
  2. Normal when the wheel is being held HARD over. Back off a touch & see if it disappears, otherwise I don't know. Holding it over hard, is a no no.
  3. Oooooh. That does sound nice. Any pics. Adam?
  4. S'funny, was that the smell of burning bulk PVC insulation I could just smell over the Eucalypts or was it the smell of the English Cricket Board making a new pot of Ashes?
  5. All I did to the 2A chassis was: 1. Wire brush it. 2. Cold Galv. 3. Apply thinnned down Bitumious paint , ober the new steel brake lines as well. 4. Let it dry. Optioal: Use a Rust neutraliser such as Rust Eater or its equivalent. I didn't. 6 years on it's as good as the day it was applied.
  6. Ours don't if you place their feet in Wellies beforehand. One just has to plan ahead, Dave.
  7. .............. & Brown Bears, Dave.
  8. But it's a nice word. C-O-A-G-U-L-A-T-E Sort of Dutch sounding, like it's in the throat. Copulate is another nice word.
  9. ............& Todd accuses you of using big words!
  10. Much mucking around & multi logging in, John. Same as you.
  11. Isn't this shuffling of knobs part of the Landrover experience? I thought that was part of the "pleasure" of driving them. As Deano said, "KISS", as unless the actuators were 100% sealed (possible?) then one runs the risk of having an unreliable transmission. There would also need to be some facility to bypass/ reconnect linkages in the event of trouble while sitting in a lake, imho.
  12. ................ & if you take the new, big one out to the workshop for a"slight adjustment & 60 day test" you could even finish up with that one. For the larger parts of course.
  13. Thanks Ivan. Glad it's sorted, & now I know for sure, just in case. I thought it would be the situation, but until someone knows for sure............. The WS Manual could be a little confusing about it.
  14. Having a bit of a shufti this morning, if it is a 300 Series, then I reckon the fan motor & wheel will come out from below, if you remove the fibre under panel, after undoing 3 screws. The motor has an inline plug next to it. If it is a 200 Series, then I don't know, as I don't have any details, but I would suspect the dash would need to come off.
  15. Give her a couple of quid to go out & give it a quickish cycle in the Dishwasher.
  16. Certainly is partner. Especially if you resiz......... ******! Thought I was somewhere else for a sec. Oooooooooooh, my very first sweary asterisks. Milestone.
  17. ............... or finally got around to trying some of that Alaskan Salmon.
  18. Like that is he? Ah well, R90 will be 2000 km from here so I guess we won't be living in each other's pockets for the odd cup of sugar, spanner, grease gun etc. Pity.
  19. ............. & McGrath should be back soon, unfortunately not soon enough. Still, 3 games to go yet. With you barracking on the sidelines Col, they have every chance.
  20. Thought of this while going off into the land of nod last night. 1991 OR 300 Series. '91 would have been the 200 Series. Confused I am. Nothing new there then.
  21. Ivan. I'm still thinking that the motor & blower wheel come out ok. It's just the fan scroll assy that comes out after removing the dash, but I'd be interested in what you find.
