  6. hi getting prepared for next week to do a full service on my td5 04 discovery, i do all my own work so any advice is greatly apprecated, i have rebuilt several landy 90 and worked on my old disco 1 i plan on changing all the fluids, i have most oils, just a quick question, the manual says to use 75w/90r oil in the transfer box and axles, is this the same spec as EP90? which i have loads of i want to change the brake fluid as well, is this just a matter of draining and replacing the brake fluid? or is there and electronic reason that i need to be watchfull of? the antifreeze calls for OATS some type of corrosion inhibitor, what product has this? many thanks Ivan

  11. ejparrott he has just broken them, i have not yet seen what is broken, i think its the cv joint, but might also be the halfshafts as stated just doing my home work so i can help him when i get back, if its just the one cv then clearly a new one is the cheapest option. as i had a spare axle i was just checking if it would be quicker for me to change as i do all his work, and at no cost to my mate................ many thanks
  12. K88MUD so will the disco axle fit straight onto the 90? i will not be able to get a look at either axles until next week, i am just doing my homework to see what would be the cheapest solution for him, again thanks for the info

  16. Hello i have found information on this forum on how to wire in the trailer 12N electrics on my Disco 2 TD5 the connection is behind the r/h rear light cluster so that should be no problem. But where can i wire in the 12S socket for my caravan? is there another connection somewhere at the rear of the disco? maybe someone else has carried out this wiring and point me to the easiest way to connect the 12S socket outlet? many thanks
  17. 18. western on my 300tdi i have just installed QT 3 degree cranked radius arms to compensate for the 2" lift kit. what i was thinking/planning i want to rebuild the axle on the 300tdi, ie diffs, shafts, CVs, wheel bearings etc over a few months, but what i didn't want to do was have the 90 non driveable for a long time, so as i have a spare disco 200tdi axle i was going to rebuild it and just swap over with the minimum of down time on the 90, if you get my drift? i would hate to rebuild the disco axle to find out it was not a good fit on the 90??? many thanks Ives
