  1. It provides a little contrast, if nothing else I added one to mine to try to reduce the noise. Can't say I noticed any difference at all.
  2. That pic is great Ralph, thanks. I've just measured mine and it's 58" I don't really want anything wider than the bars as it might limit where I can go in tight lanes etc. I noticed on that thread that I referenced, you said your centre red lights are for rally stages only. I presume that's because they look like they are alternating flashing reds, which can only be fitted to emergency services vehicles. Are they switchable to operate normally with the brake lights, or can you cover them up? I was just wondering how you would get through an MOT with them as I would have thought that any lights would need to be working. Just being nosy
  3. Many thanks Ralph. Mine has outers which operate at two intensities low and high. High intensity strobes. Tail lights, brake lights and indicators. Centre section is sprayed and lit from behind for sign writing but I'm thinking of sanding it back to clear plastic and fitting LED strobes. I'll sie how it looks, but if it's too wide, I can always cut a section out from the middle. I'll do some pics when I'm done. Do you have any pics of the side of yours by any chance?
  4. Hi Guys, I'm a long time lurker on the forums. I've found them very useful but never needed to post until now. I was admiring the back of Western's defender as pictured here: http://forums.lr4x4.com/index.php?showtopic=83213 . I'm fitting a lightbar to the rear of mine. I'm assuming that the roof will not be strong enough without reinforcing (think the lightbar is about 15kg) - I noticed that Western has his on a roofbar. That seems like a good option. Western, could I ask what make it is please and where you got it from? It looks great. Also, what make is your lightbar? I got a Premier Hazard Optimax ex RAC. I noticed it's a bit wider than the Landy, bit it will still look great I'm sure. I was also thinking that I could reinforce the inside of the roof by gluing thin layers of ali shetting between the frames. If anyone has any suggestions of roofbars etc. I would be grateful. Many thanks,
  5. I seem to remember reading something in the manual about this. It was something along the lines that you should avoid starting the compressor under load otherwise it may blow fuses, so I guess this means connect the inflator to tire first, then start the compressor, then connect the compressor to the inflator? I'm guessing this means the inflator has a one way valve on it.
