  1. Hi not corner specific, just in pairs of front and back esp on a 110 because there a good bit different in load weight capacity
  2. Not ebay but I'm sorry I think I found one that can't be beaten........ GRRRRRRRRR :-) http://www.donedeal.ie/commercials-for-sale/landrover-defender/6377684
  3. Yeap I like square edges if they built the concept Dc100 square, I'd be into it a lot more....
  4. Can you post pictures when it's done...... way way out of my league but still one can dream would you know is there much work in setting up a adjustable brake bias to load the front more than the back on defender 110?
  5. I'd rather this than the DC100 any day......maybe Land Rover should take note
  6. Hi Dave, This topic was covered on here before, so in case you want additional info check http://forums.lr4x4.com/index.php?showtopic=29847 I used alloy rivets with a bead of silicone sealant inside the edge of the chequer plate, but I have to admit I think countersunk screws do look a lot better....
  7. Oh absolutely envious of the nice man in Oxfordshire, nice Discovery Comp-Safari / Tout-terrain racer.....
  8. Thanks for the reply's guy's....it was a debate that came about after a few beers discussing the Armed Forces Rally Team that was reviewed recently in a magazine together with the launch of the recent Bowler Defender. My mate has a v8 engine, 110 that he uses for off-road events with a front external and rear internal roll cage, sports seats and harness, excellent suspension etc. It has the engine cutoff switches (internal and external) fitted, he figured if he looked into the regulations required here in Ireland to compete that maybe we could bring it up to the spec required, save the fee & enter a few local rally's. The reason for the question was also because he has a 90 that he use to drive that equally could be made to race or used a parts etc. We googled rally, rallyraid and found a bunch of 110's which led use to believe that on tarmac maybe the 90 and if we decided to try rally/cross the 110 would be the better starter. So far it's beer talk but you never know. Again cheers for advice....
  9. Hi all, can anyone advise as to which is best base vehicle for tarmac rallying a defender 110 or 90? Thinking more of stability etc.... any opinions.
  10. HA Ha that's a sign..... better buy BFG's ...
  11. Maxtrek are the company. I was going to get BFG AT's but couldn't afford them and a friend of mine with a Discovery told me about these, he seemed to think they were very good for the price so I decided to give them a go. I have had them on over a year now through last winter with snow, ice and rain and this summer with no problems and still enough thread to keep me going until possibly feb next year..but it is my daily driver as I said. I googled them and found below from an add. Type: All Terrain Vehicle: SUV/4x4 Pattern: Thickened carcass, wild pattern and deep grooves are the features of this tire. Behind its simple appearance, a next generation technology is applied during production for improving its traction and braking performance. It can easily deal with a variety of complicated terrains and bad weather conditions. Maybe someone else has tried them and will give a second opinion. If I had the money I would get the BFG's but then again I would prob get another set of these and some replacement shocks instead with the money saved...lol
  12. I have "Maxtrek SU-800" 245 75 r16 on mine at the moment and so far I can't fault them..... good grip, good wear and mine is used in a similar fashion as a daily driver on both A & B roads
  13. I know it's prob just me, but I like this and keep the boosts on the shiny one, def nicer..
  14. Or what about a "Used" TD5 Injector Loom for £25, and I wouldn't mind only I replaced mine yesterday...... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LAND-ROVER-TD5-INJECTION-LOOM-DEFENDER-90-110-/141129893738?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item20dbff476a
  15.
