  1. It’s a mystery why they won’t fit the rear as I ordered very similar 🕶
  2. Aye probably better to do that than keep ordering bolts that won’t fit 😊👍
  3. I’m not sure they’ll fit Ralph, the M10 x 45 won’t fit the rear just the front. So the only difference would be the extra 5mm. Talk about confusing just to replace the bolts. I’ll end up just leaving them as I only wanted to replace them as a precaution, they’re actually in good nick.
  4. Ok so the AFU part number is bringing up flanged-head bolts 🙄🙄🙄
  5. Thanks Ralph. Looks like the AFu1181 will be ordered and tried.
  6. Those are the ones I ordered and they don’t fit the rear. They fit the front but are shorter than the ones that are in the truck just now. Part number AFu1181 brings up M10 x 50 so I’m hoping these are for the rear? I’ll see if I can get the rear back out tomorrow and do some exact measurements on them.
  7. Correction !! Just been out to make sure of the fronts as it’s been a while since I tried them. The bolts fit the front but, the originals are 5mm longer. Make a difference ? I’ve also got hex with spring washers.
  8. Just normal drums on the back. Discs front but they didn’t fit front or back. I’ll have a look at that part number thanks Ralph
  9. Hi gang, so twice I’ve ordered these bolts and found them not to fit. Sizes say M10 x 45 which I got today, went out and boom they won’t slide in past the outer hole. Funny as the thread size looks the same. Last time I got sent a flange bolt, the kind were it’s like a washer welded to the hex bolt. (Hope that makes sense) so looking at BX110095 they look like the same ones I got today. Its for 1987 110 with rear Salisbury axle. So which ones will defo fit mine? Thanks
  10. I know I’m resurrecting this post 😂 but I found it very helpful today, the actual nut itself started coming away. The key (four pins) started buckling and eventually chipped away at the holes on the nut. So the 3/4 size socket was hammered on and het presto !! Thanks again for the great info as always. Charlie
  11. Three coats on so far Bowie and I’ll get some chassis black to top it off 😊👍
  12. Wee update on the repairs...... crossmember is now fully solid, took the NATO hitch off today along with the electrics tow connector. Surface rust only, all grinded down and coated in red oxide for now. No wonder these things rust, to try gain access to the back section is a mare !!
  13. Chassis good, all scrubbed down and freshly coated in oxide. It’s a fix for now and if it gets any worse then new crossmember it’ll need to be at some point. 😊👍
  14. So the rest of it is looking OK, other side will be getting a good rub down too but it ain’t no where near as bad..... just to weld.
  15. The Chassis seems to be in good condition, I’m always having a tinker and checking on things. This weekend weather permitting I’ll get under and have a real good look. So far doing a section repair is winning.
  16. Thanks guys, I’ll have a read over things when I’m in from work. 👍
  17. The rest of it is in very good nick, not sure if my budget this year would stretch to a full replacement but something I’ll ponder for next year. Is it an easy enough job? Went here ver to my mates for another opinion too, I think a bit of fabricating for now is the way to go...... ?
  18. Afternoon guys, so after a tinker and a check I discovered the rear right hand side of my crossmember is very bad. It’s solid everywhere else apart from this section. What would be the best option to repair? Can you buy sections? Thanks!
  19. Go easy with a chisel, I used a small razor blade and kept soaking the gasket that’s coming off in old oil to soften it. WD etc could be used as well I guess. Careful you don’t chip the metal 😊👍

    2a sump plug

Any luck? What are you using to get it off?
  21. Thanks guys, no relays please just a simple swap if it can be improved,... Ralph have you a link for the twin tone?
  22. Hi guys and gals, thankfully I’ve not had to post in a while 😊 just wondering if you guys have fitted a simple horn that’s better than the original as it’s become tired. I seen @Jocklandjohn mentioned a substitute a while back. Would like it a bit louder if possible but simple replacement. 😊👍
  23. As far as I can remember it’s ok to run it as two wheeled vehicle. Not 100% about the viscous though.
  24. The timer is ok but you have to set it day by day. The FB page is a real good source of info and they are getting more and more popular. Some are finding it hard to get a true 2kw as most are seemingly 5kw. You can tweak the setting if you get an LCD controller to adjust fuel and fan speed. Mines also has a remote control. So when I want the truck cosy I lean out the window and switch it on to heat up 😊👍
  25. @pete3000 hi bud, having the air intake inside for me personally makes for condensation. The parts for this heater are decently priced. Ebay is the best way it seems.there are loads of sellers but a few seem unreliable. I used blue005_de on there and didn’t have a problem. There’s a few claim to be registered in uk but probs are not. Just research what you feel is the best supplier. Avoid million.billion
