  1. Interesting, can someone put up a link? My mate has rubber coin in the rear of his RRC, every time he opens the boot the smell is quite strong and I think that would give me a migraine if I was sleeping in there. Sounds ideal for the 110........ sorry for deflecting slightly ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜
  2. Good thinking Jocklandjohn, Iโ€™ve got an awning room I can attach to the ARB. That would work just dandy when I get a heater. The quest goes on.......
  3. Reb78 is there a link for the eberspacher on eblag? Might be worth a look depending on models? Iโ€™m very tempted by the planar D2.
  4. Haha where did I get Nige from?? ๐Ÿ˜‚ sorry about that. great info guys, thanks JocklandJohn, another thought to ponder. So where would you recommend fitting it? Iโ€™ve seen a thread on under the seat but I donโ€™t think itโ€™ll fit under there?
  5. Need to go to work now but half an hour of searching this is the best I can see so far..... looks like her indoors will need to watch emmerdale herself tonight as I search more ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Eberspacher-Airtronic-D2-Heater-12V-night-heater-complete-kit/292427378083?hash=item441607ada3:g:3i0AAOSwdd9abaq2
  6. So would the D1LC be the one best for the 12v 110? Iโ€™m not ruling out the others, just doesnโ€™t seem to be enough people backing them ๐Ÿ˜‚
  7. Cheerโ€™s Nige, my trouble is I donโ€™t know exactly what should be included. Iโ€™ll need to search for new and make a list of parts. Then see whatโ€™s out there. Fitting it will be a challenge Iโ€™m sure. ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ‘
  8. Thanks guys. Bit of research now I think. Need to ask the money manager how the books are. Theyโ€™re not cheap by the look of them. But...... a toasty roasty cab whilst in the freezing Glens sounds fab ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ”ฅ
  9. I did water pump last year along with timing belt. Gave it a nice fresh glug of blue ethylene glycol with no alcohol in it as I read it was bad for Ali components. Also on the thermostat subject. With advice on here I described my landy exactly like you did on your sons, cool on longer drives and heats up to just below half way on the gauge in town. Changed the thermostat ( oh that was fun if you seen my thread on thermostat change ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚) it defo makes a difference to the engine warming up much much quicker. Heats the cab up in no time now. Mines is an 82 thermostat for my 2.5na ๐Ÿ‘
  10. Itโ€™s only to heat the cab at night whilst camping. Thanks everyone so far with your advice ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ”ฅ
  11. Thanks Mike, Iโ€™ve heard more and more about the eberspacher. Donโ€™t know much about it if Iโ€™m honest.
  12. Too true Mr Mutley ! The journey to Glencoe next Saturday will be that bit more snug ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ‘
  13. As some of you might be aware I like to go camping in the 110 in the Glens of Scotland even in the winter. So, what heater is best for keeping me cozy warm when itโ€™s -6 and lower outside?
  14. Well didnโ€™t manage it yesterday due to being sociable ๐Ÿ™„ but got them on today. They are far superior to aftermarket parts. Oh !! And boy of boy do you need to give that door a shove to close it. Was quieter too in the cab. ยฃ135 well spent. Also discovered a bit of corrosion under the hinge on the drivers door to take care of before anything really bad happens. ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜Ž
  15. They came, they look good, Iโ€™ll fit them Saturday, Iโ€™ll let Youโ€™s know ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜Ž
  16. Brill ๐Ÿ˜Š Just make sure it doesnโ€™t point towards the head..... ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜Ž
  17. Ordered and should be here tomorrow. And they better be genuine at ยฃ135 for the two ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ˜ณ
  18. Iโ€™m heading to Glencoe at the start of February. Hopefully have some good pictures from when Iโ€™m camping ๐Ÿ‘
  19. Thank for that Ralph, again itโ€™s a minefield when making sure you get genuine parts. Hereโ€™s hoping..... ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜Š
  20. So where to get a definite Genuine door seal? Iโ€™m away to have a swatch on the parts site. Thanks guys, Iโ€™ll defo be going Gen.....๐Ÿ‘
  21. I replaced the door seal on the drivers door in the summer with a bearmach one. It was 3 times worse than the one I had on even though it was 20 odd years old. So...... what one to treat my Landy too?
  22. The drive itself isnโ€™t too long from Larne to portrush (2 hours?). It depends on how many stops you want to do. ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ‘
  23. Nice wee laying of the white stuff today. So after all the recent work thought Iโ€™d pop out for a few hours drive. Helping a few folks that were stuck along the way......
  24. Great drive have done it many a time, do the rope bridge crossing. Some beautiful beaches too along the way. Port rush if you like sea side villages and thereโ€™s Barryโ€™s amusements which have rides etc for kid big and small ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ‘ enjoy !!
  25. I wouldnโ€™t go down the road of overtightining. Might be threaded and therefore causing the leak ?
