Hi all, I`ve just removed the prop and fitted the plate to the IRD box - There`s no change !

I had the problems with the rear diff and the prop bearings on the previous freelander, but this is a differanr noise.

Hi all, Eight months ago I bought my second freelander, a 2006 TD4 Adventurer which began to whine after 50 mph, much like a worn wheel bearing.A few months ago I sought advice from profesional mechanics and changed front drivers side wheel bearings which made no differance.The whine now appears at 30 mph onwards and is louder on long sweeping bends to the left and to the right. I cant hear any knocking while reversing into any tight parking spots.I now suspect the IRD and intend to remove the propshaft to see if it will help. Any ideas?
