  1. My kit consists of; Pump 4 bolt swan neck arm pipes reservoir crank pulley (which I don't need anyway) another small pulley/ tensioner which fit together with the pump and then both need to be fixed to the casing No one seems to mention this extra small pulley which fits with pump, as this has 3 bolt holes to fix to casing
  2. Thanks for this.....seems like some say its easy and some say its a bit more difficult but I have take some pictures of the pump and pulley which fit together and you can see what I mean
  3. I was told when I bought it that it is a straight swap........I really hope so otherwise I'm screwed! - yes I have a double pulley as mine was FFR so had 2 alternators (although I took one out) Thanks for this, I will check
  4. hi the only picture I need is one that shows how the pulley/pump fits to the engine. if you could send asap that would be great thanks
  5. I am very new, but learning fast and this forum is very helpful
  6. i'll have a look in my book as i'd have no idea how to replace or set them up. too be honest I don't even know how many there are!
  7. if you could send some pictures mate that would be awesome and a great starting point. my email is; hubbitjh@hotmail.co.uk cheers
  8. I have everything but can't find anyone who has pics etc or a guide to installing
  9. anyone ever tried this stuff Millers injecter cleaner?
  10. I've purchased a power steering setup which came off a Disc and i'm wanting to install on my 2.5n/a It seems to be something that is common to do, but I can find no instructions on the internet or pictures, so I was hoping someone could assist who has done this or knows how to do it. A step by step guide would be good, or a link to an article explaining this or some pictures of how it looks installed, so I can try and work it out. Basically any help please and I need to swap it asap Thanks
  11. blimey you certainly know your stuff, unfortunately this is my first project so i'm on a steep learning curve. So if I was to take this to a garage, what would I ask them to do? - setup the injectors etc?
  12. Gotcha.....unfortunately the tyres I wanted are a USA import and no-one has them, which are the S/T Maxx, so I think i'm going to go for the STT, which seems like a good tyre
  13. then I do have it wrong as I thought each tyre was 45mm wider - no?
  14. but I am right in saying they are 45mm wider? - or have I got my calculation wrong?
  15. they didn't say but i'm trying a few other places to see what they have to say.............just my luck, spend a while finding the one I want, then you can't get it!
  16. indeed, however having just ordered them, I've just received an email saying they are only available as an import from USA......so that's a no then! I particularly liked them as they are studable which would be useful in Norway when I eventually get there
  17. just ordered these, what do you think? http://www.johncraddockltd.co.uk/tyres/cooper/all-terrain/2358516cmax-23585r16-cooper-discoverer-st-maxx-120116q-bsw.html
  18. Perfect, just the info I needed So i'm looking for something a bit wider and either the same height or close, so I think i'm going to go for the Cooper Discoverer S/T Maxx 235/85R16 Looks like a good tyre on and off road
  19. when you say 'Tall' where is this measured from?
  20. sorry but i'm getting really confused now......I have G90 which are 7.50/16 but what does the 7.50 mean? and why does the tyres I am looking at have 3 numbers quoted i.e. 255/85 x 16? how wide at the G90? I want something which is wider but not twice as wide and not much taller. hope that makes sense and you can help thanks
  21. Can anyone takes some pictures an email to me, so I can at least see how this fits.......after that i'm sure I can work it out. my email address is; hubbitjh@hotmail.co.uk thanks
  22. no I've never used it off-road as I've been basically working on the bodywork and as this is my 1st Landy, I've been gradually learning about them and the workings of them inside and out (as you'll probably see by some of my idiot questions on these posts!) as you say, if the MOD can cope with them, then its good enough for me... i'm basically at the stage now where I need to spend money on things like, Tyres, Winch etc etc but I don't want to spend money doing these things if the power makes off-roading (when I come to do this) pointless + snow is coming so I need tyres etc for this what do you mean by 'Tune up'??
  23. ok so if I was to just use my Defender with the 2.5n/a for off-road (I don't mean too extreme) and less for road, then does the 2.5N/A pull and perform off-road as well as the 200TDi?
  24. I filled the master cylinder up with DOT 4 yesterday evening and pumped the pedal a few times. It definitely seems better and more resistance. I've give it a bleed when I can get someone to help me, then fingers crossed all solved. if not, i'll just replace the cylinders. BTW - I've never had a clutch go on me, so what are the symptoms for this
  25. they are pretty cheap anyway, so might be best to replace them
