  1. I made up my own using blue silicone hose, offcuts of stainless exhaust and stainless worm-drive clamps as I was told they weren't available anymore. You're referring to the ribbed silver hose that looks like 2. 5" diameter ducting?
  2. ROFL So it appears that both the USPS and Royal mail are more efficient when sending international than RM nationally? Hehe how does that happen?
  3. Agreed! A week isn't isn't very long at all considering the distance. I've had significantly longer waiting times on items coming from the States
  4. UK to Australia via Royal Post usually takes around a week
  5. Thank you western, especially for linking me directly to the one I needed. I'm surprised at how relatively cheap it is given your cracking currency vs our chappy $AUS. I'll order one through Brooklands after dinner.
  6. Quite possibly a loose bolt or pin. I'd have a look at the linkages first - if shot, I'm sure you could buy a repair kit.
  7. Hello all I'm trying to track down a copy of the LR Rave cd that is relevant to the year of manufacture of my vehicle (1993). I went to the LR site for downloads and it doesn't recognise Discoverys made before 95...frustrating. I do have a hardcover copy of the Haynes manual but I would rather have the OEM version if possible. Any assistance appreciated. pv5150
  8. Lol an open box of Bicarb soda on the rack works well but it isn't as quick as water and vinegar in an oven proof pot. Put a large pot of water on a low rack in your oven, and crank the oven. Allow the water to boil in your oven for up to an hour until you can no longer smell the odours in the your oven at all. The boiling water helps to eradicate the offending smells so you don't have to worry about the bad smells making your future meals taste nasty. As for sprays I'm not sure.
  9. Thanks heaps guys, I really do appreciate the responses which have note allayed my fears . I've never had any electrical problems with the disco and I plan to keep it that way by wiring correctly - better keeping Lord Lucas :Prince of darkness happy.
  10. Lol I do that too, but when I forget I'm in my Ford Mondeo wagon work vehicle. I do get some strange looks... When in my Disco though I generally try to wave to most fellow Land Rover owners regardless of model
  11. Hello all... Long time lurker but new poster. I have a 1993 Land Rover Discovery 1 that currently has 1 set of 100w Narva 175 driving lights mounted on the bull bar in the configuration below: http://www.4wdaction.com.au/_phpBB/download/file.php?id=71540&sid=38ca88dfd0683d5f304fc6025ef55fed&mode=view To compliment my driving lights when offroad I have purchased a new 20 inch light bar which draws a maximum of 5 amps: http://www.4wdsupacentre.com.au/products/4wd-lights/brite-led-tech/brite-led-20-9-32v-32-x-3w-led-light-bar.html My question is this : I will be installing the light bar on its own circuit separate from the driving lights but using a 4-pin relay due to only one light. I would like the light bar to come on when high beam is activated by using the high beam wire as the trigger for the relay, but I will be using a switch to turn the light off when not offroad. Would running the lighting that I want via relays, triggered by the high beam active (so two lighting circuits) overload the high beam active write or lighting circuit in general? Kind regards Matthew aka pv5150
