  1. I'm putting 2.5na into my series 3--- 2.25 diesel, the clutch is worn out on the 2.5na so what setup do I need to buy to have it running nicely? Cheers Chris Oh do I need the 2.25 thermostat housing aswell?
  2. im new so be patient please, just in the process of getting a series 3 thats only missing the diesel lump,not to worry though as ive got a spare 3.5v8 from my twin turbo hotrod ive read about conversion plates for the box but as yet ive not seen 1, so my questions are what else will i need to get my grubby hands on to make it go vroom vroom? ive got a selection of stromberg and su's in the garage and also a full efi system which would probably be more suitable?? oh 1 last thing is ive also got a spare turbo from my project so i was thinking of sticking that on just for good measure. thanks for any info and help you can provide and i hope to here from you soon. chris
  3. hi there, please go steady on me as im new in here. Im just in the process of getting my hands on a series 3 thats got everything in it except the diesel lump it was born with BUT no need to worry about that as i have a spare 3.5v8 from my hotrod, so i guess my questions are what will i need to get it all to fit together? at the minute my engine has a 3 speed auto GM180 box fastened to it so that will be first to go as i would like to use the manual box thats in the car, ive got a selection of carbs that i could use on the engine but ive also got a complete EFI setup. Ive read about a conversion plate thats used for mounting said engine to said gearbox but as of yet ive not seen 1 of these plates! so are they hard to get hold of? ive also got a rather nice fat turbo thats spare from my twin turbo hotrod build and woudnt mind fitting this too just coz its there and a shame to sell it. cheers for any info that you can pass on, hope t hear from you soon. chris
  4. if i fit composite head gaskets to my sd1 3.5v8 with standard 9.35.1 what will the compression go down to please?????
