Hi all, I need a bit of help trying to work out what's wrong with my defender (low mileage defender 110 02)
She broke down on me over christmas, lost all power whilst driving down the motorway, I've plugged in my nanocom and there are no error codes.
Here's what happens...
Firstly starting can be very hit and miss, she catches straight away but then rapidly dies again, it can do this 3 or 4 times. Depressing the accelerator seems to remedy the issue.
Whilst driving it feels like the turbo is starting to spin up and then just stops, after recording the fuelling data on the nanocom I can see that the turbo hardly ever kicks in, also if I look at the trace for the egr it's almost exactly the same as the turbo pressure trace, is this correct? There's also a strange peak where the road speed is being reported as being 100+ mph, which I know I defo didn't do!
No oil in orange ecu plug or anything, cleaned the maf sensor, airflow is around 60 at cold idle with itg airfilter fitted.
Wastegate lever isn't stuck, I can move it with a pair of pliers fine, no holes/blockages in the pipework
