Hey,
Is the LRW show worth going to? Who else is planning on going?
Pete
We shall be there again this year....

Great thanks :-)
I ordered the lights yesterday but didnt order the plastic bowls so I'll have to see how it goes!
Wondering if I can fit the lights into the existing metal ones using the metal finesher rings, if they can be called that.... (or is that what you tried? I assume you tried the miltary rings with the plastic bowls and that didnt work...)
Cheers
Ben
Make sure that they are e-marked lamps. In theory if they are not they should not pass an MoT.
I had a pair of the non e-marked years ago and they produced a carp beam pattern.

2002 doors are a single piece.
yes, but still after a long time they start to rattle and show signs of stress. best bet is install a wheel carrier or put the spare at home and pray hard you can get your mate to fetch it for you when you need it. Could way be cheaper than a new door or a wheel carrier.
02 on doors are all steel.

OK
Having had a lookie at the last gloop I used I thought it was Sikaflex, er its prob not
So,
Where (shops please) can I buy a tube ?
Surrey West Sussex and maybe even Hampshire ?
Nige
Try Partco or any car paint factors. Tiger seal is another brand.

SPI used to make the best quality rear crossmembers but sadly they closed in December. They supplied chassis manufacturers with chassis components
and seemed to be the best quality available. I never had a complaint from any SPI parts I supplied, but local customers are not too keen on the Britpart
crossmembers.
I have two SPI 110 rear crossmembers with extensions left in stock.

I'm going to bite the bullet and change the rear crossmember. Its not totaly rotten yet - but after a real good poke and bashing with the hammer to remove all the rust it's not as strong as I'd like it to be. I'd only be putting of the inevitable if I patch it now.
It was on the to do list when I bought the truck anyways.
Question for all those in the know!
I beleive that the spi one is one of the better made ones
My local supplier won't sell me one as he wants to keep his stiock for his own workshop to consume But I'v found another one - but the vendor is unsure if it'l suit my truck - he's only fitted to a 90?
Is there a difference between a 90 and a 110 one, I need a 110 version. The chassis isn't bad enough that I'll need the extra long extensions, std short oness will do. Heres the photos
Cheers again.
Steve
The 90 SPI crossmembers have the body support bracket as in the pictures, the 110 does not. If you have a 110 I have some of the SPI ones left no 90 one though.

Anyone know who makes the chassis parts that Britpart sell?
This company has a bit of a reputation for poor quality parts.
Les.
Some Britpart items are from SPI not all. Rear crossmembers are not SPI and are not brilliant fit. SPI parts are excellent but as of 21-12-08 SPI have ceased manufacturing/trading so unless some other manufacturer buys the tooling off them chassis parts of any quality will become hard to find. There were a lot of parts that SPI made that no one else make such as Defender 1st/2nd row doors, complete front wings, 2002 on one piece rear door, Discovery rear crossmembers, and a lot of Range Rover Classic parts.

Just been pointed out that that Engle from MPS is plus VAT, so it's not the good deal I thought it was. They used to advertise inc VAT, certainly did when I bought mine from them.
I have watched this topic with interest and would just like to mention that Engel use the Sawafuji compressor, most other compressor fridges use the Danfoss compressor.
I give 3 year warranty now with all Engel chest fridges Waeco only 1 year.
I have listed this last fridge + vat to reduce ebay's high commission charges.

Thanks for the replies guys, I have now made a loom to run from the lights to a plug under the bonnet.

You took your time getting here Simon, welcome.
I use Durite plugs for my lights on my rack. Easy to unplug when you want to remove the rack.
The G4 Land Rovers use Durite plugs on their Warn roof lights.
They come in 2 and or 3 terminal male to female plugs and appear to be waterproof, at least when used on a roof and not submerged.
John
Hi John
I have a Durite catalogue which type of plug ???

PRC6796 is the timer relay.

I have a wiring diagram that I made up using loom from a RRClassic I have listed part numbers of loom, relays switch and timer relay used. I have used this in the past as I fitted heated screen to a 90 of mine about 10 years ago. Email me at mps4x4@mac.com and I will e-mail you the diagram as I cannot figure how to put it in a post.

I am fitting some Lightforce lamps to my Hannibal rack and was going to run feed up to a junction box fitted to the underside of the rack. Anyone know of any small preferably black junction boxes available. I was going to use the Rubberlite one but if possible get something a bit smaller.
Thanks in advance..............Simon

I had the same problem with my Td5 90. Had it sorted by local garage and had no problems since.
