what absolute rubbish, devon charge what they think they can get away with, plus they have to pay for all there adverts in the comics,as i see it they are going down the same road as srap iron did, just without the orange paint.
landrover offered the 300tdi as a retro fit kit for all 90/110 models,i personally converted 5 using factory kits,as such you should not have a problem, personally i have no time for nene overland but would certainly approach foleys for advice and clarification.
i stand corrected,i have seen a racer with a lexus autobox with the hilux transfer box, that was behind a breathed on lexus v8 motor,no option is going to be cheap as modifying autoboxes requires some prior knowledge,i have stripped and repaired clarke auto transmissions in container handling machines, which by contrast are quite simple, but i would hesitate before attempting a hybrid 22/24 build.
there is another race and rally box builder in harlow, can,t remember the name, they were at the rally show at chatsworth this year, speak to milner offroad, they use a lexus autobox with i think a hilux transfer box in the milner protruck, having seen those launch off the start line they are pretty impressive.
i live close to a very large container port, the trackers for which police etc have scanners for don,t work very well when the motot is in a shipping container which is then buried in a stack of containers, which is the norm,a stack is usually five high and up to seven containers wide,it really is luck if the scanner picks it up,most succesful finds are from intelligence led searches.
as i stated earlier, not extreme enough for some of you mail order vehicle builders, the seller on ebay was not the original builder,it was actually for sale and sold on ebay about 5 months ago,and yes with some work it could still be a useful racer, but i suppose the lack of recogniseable branded parts doesnot make it appealing to some using the forum.
cordless 4"grinders seem to be the weapon of choice for these scum, iknow of several thefts local to me that it would appear they have used these, ranging from pilfering diesel bulk tanks to cutting through chains to nick 2 moto cross bikes from a locked work shop.
in our collection we also have a fairline, from macro cash and carry,£9.99 +vat, tend to use it with mop discs all the time, has done quite well so far.still prefer the aeg though.
have you measured chassis diagonally?5mm is if my memory is correct,is within the laughable factory tolerance.if you need the dimensions i have them in a factory workshop manual.
david i have joined these type of hoses before using a coupling using thresded fittings, olives and a metal insert that goes inside the pipe to stop it collapsing, you should be able to get them from a comercial motor factors or a hydraulic supplier.
