If you are thinking that a stud needs to bottom out in a blind hole, that is incorrect and not good practice
I know what you mean, but in the case of a crownwheel, there isn't much in the way of space the other side for it to move through which it inevitably would (or bind on the upper part of the hole which IMO is worse).

Evidently ARP does some as well: https://arp-bolts.com/kits/arpkit-detail.php?RecordID=5300
I actually went to their site to check if they had any studs available for that application, as I'd expect that to be a better idea since the correct torque is so important? But there might not be enough room for that?
IMO a bolt is the best option here as you're not into a blind hole to retain the stud whilst assembling.

That was going to be my suggestion, normal clear over the top

The label printing heatshrink isn’t that hard wearing… so it would robanly not do so great on taps or anything else like that you’re using. That with genuine Dymo stuff too. It’s also faaaaaackin’ expensive for not very much length
-
That's a fair point! Machinery moving gets expensive.

I'll keep it in mind My girlfriend's brother is a machinist and tooling tester at Sandvik, could probably ask him for some machining help as well. I vaguely inquired about it before, and apparently it doesn't really matter how exactly the tools get tested, and what part comes out at the end
He's just even further away than you areSounds like you need to get some machine tools for 'testing' Ben

No.
No, especially not the 110 rear (Salisbury) axle.
2005 would be the rover/Wolf type rear. Which ironically shares the diff pattern with the P38 if I remember correctly.

Plotting and scheming and installing a few kilometers of cable into the house has taken most of my time in the last few weeks along with keeping the MIL on the straight and narrow again.
I do need to update my thread slightly though!

Shame you're so far away.... I'd happily sit on a digger for days

Is it a house you're building?
-
I quite like that! Looks far nicer than any of the usual side by side offerings!
-
I wasn't too worried about that on my ashcroft ones as I've got them both pegged which should support the thinner area.

There used to be KAM.... but not sure what bits (if any) of theirs are still being produced. @Hybrid_From_Hell may have some in stock.

Did some research here and found that simonr designed them so contacted him.
Ross, you come to Newbury?
I will try to like normal! I may end up working on the house though. Have you got something that needs delivering in the UK again?
-
That looks very much like the goodwinch one I’ve got
-
Do they work if they're just lifting Henk? Or do they need the rotation?
I've got goodwinch ones for my TDS.

Can't remember the brand, but mine are floor layer's gel ones and they're brilliant. But I can't ever seem to find knee pads comfortable other than kneeling. they never sit right even wearing shorts.

Actually, I drove home from that 7S, so why did you need the margic carpet to get home?
But the big yellow taco does wonders for fuel economy!

As for long time..... yes.... all of the time.

Did Ross @landroversforever sell the 200 out of his project? Or did that happen a long long time ago?

Looking back at my invoices FRC6137 listed as 45mm (based on being the ones I ordered extras of). Info might be in my build thread too.

Little bit out there.... but doesn't look like a K-series lump.
Or from some googling - a Range Rover VM.
