  1. Probably! I think just a light change would help. They’re a little lost.
  2. Is that with the longer wheelbase? I think it's got great potential.... I just query the look of the rear bumper and keeping the same lights from the full bodied version. Hilux at work with a flatbed has a 'normal' pickup bumper and it looks terrible.
  3. Must admit I've never got on with the dial type!
  4. Stops the high speed air whistling through the threads up to the nuts and creating a high pressure scenario that blows the nuts off the wheels when you get to 45mph.
  5. Another vote here for it having a proper once-over kind of tune up. Fresh belt if its due, timing checked, rockers etc all checked over. Colleague's old 200tdi 90 was night and day different after just going over the valve clearances.
  6. Ouch . I ordered the 'right' ones for each end.... later realised on type would work perfectly both ends so ordered repeats of one type a few years later and got the exact same bits through.
  7. Interesting on the stud front. I've used an off the shelf stud which was all the right shape which has given me similar stick out front and rear. That's with early 90/110 front hubs and imperial early disco or RRC rear hubs.
  8. Dead batteries are the very reason I have proper verniers at home and the workshop.
  9. Looks like something you could make as a little side line to fund Sid work. Knowing how quickly you knock stuff out it wouldn't take much time away from Sid stuff.
  10. I must have done Stephen, but memory is failing me today!
  11. Spendy, but not as bad as I thought it might be. I reckon the various places are just worried about the unknown hardness/treatments on the current shafts. Is there enough diameter on the original shafts? Or is the merc spline much smaller?
  12. Just get a big speaker playing popcorn limiter noises and you'll fit right in Mike!
  13. My vague understanding of photogrammetry is that it needs to know angles and distances so an arm like that is a benefit, but can’t see it being useful for these kinds of scanner.
  14. I have a td5 disco saved search on eBay and this kind of one is pretty common: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/226036991946?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=9TEs_ISAT5i&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=RFXCD0gnSZK&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
  15. One of the differences to me is the td5 being much newer there are still loads of parts around. Lots available new still… and I reckon far more available new than 200 stuff. I would be wary about relying on the breaker making back much money given how many Facebook breakers there are flooding the market.
  16. That’s impressive! Interested to see how the measurements stack up to real life measurements.
  17. Round here I see rusty MOT failure ones come up anything from £4-500.
  18. Might be worth keeping an eye on the D2 facebook groups. If it's one with a more popular interior colour like the black leather, you might make a few hundred for the full interior. Axles seem to often be up for sale for £150-300 a set. If they don't sell I'm sure Nige would take on the diffs.
  19. Taking the blue away on the boat would make those bits shiny again
  20. That looks fantastic Stephen . The bluing vs the straw/brown colour on the ship really works.
  21. @RedLineMike would likely be able to shed some light on the ECU side of having it run outside of the disco.
