  2. Am wanting to convert 90 to V8 auto with LPG. Anybody got time, facilities & skill to do it? If so how much & how long. Thought in these tough times their might be somebody stuck for work & would rather not pay garage rates. Thanks, Dave
  3. Anybody know whether this would be an easy fit into a diesel 90 or are they a different length bellhousing etc? It's a 3.5 EFI if that helps.
  4. Do you mean jsut bolts as a replacement as I can't see how you use nuts & bolts or am I being thick? Surely you have to be spot on with length.
  5. Anybody got any ideas or recommend the best way to remove a sheared exhaust manifold stid? Trouble is it's sheared off below the level of the manifold but removing the manifold is really difficult, so I'm trying to do it in situ. It's a Nissan engine but I wondered if there's a special tool that would fit inside the hole? Thanks, Dave
  6. Hi, Anybody done it, doing it? Any thoughts on how difficult it would be? Or shall it be V8 on gas? Decisions, decisions!
  7. Just seen 222,000 come up, thought a quick survey would be interesting to see what the highest recorded mileage is?? Maybe should be linked to age to see what highest annual mileage is. Mines a 1986.
  8. Hi, Will genuine deep dish alloys fit on a drum braked 90? Ta
  9. Hi, I'm trying to sort the heater out, aren't we all! Have had box off & the seal to the b/head is all torn & perished. Craddock quotes 2 which I can't work out which it is. Any ideas please? Is it either MRC8378 or STC952 or am I completely wrong? Thanks, Dave
  10. It's got to be the wrong part as it's a good couple of inches different. Looking at pic's on ebay they look different to mine. Oh well put it back together & to hell with it!
  11. Well......... I beg to differ! I've just stripped it all out and the replacement (straight pipe) has proper top & bottom like a normal radiator. The old one is just a matrix. New one much taller so doesn't fit. Are there more than one type?
  12. Can you replace the matrix with curved pipes to one with straight pipes? If so any tips to help in replacing? Thanks, Dave
  13. If I remove all suspension arms/panhard rod so that I can take them to have new bushes pressed in will the axles move out of line? Obviously won't move it once they're off!
  14. Looks great, did you fabricate a complete new bulkhead for the bottom or is it framed & clad with chequer plate? Thanks
  15. Anybody know of a garage in Warwick area who will weld the front silencer to the flared part as it's broken away but is still in good condition. Seams a shame to bin it and buy new. Thanks.
  16. Hi. Just had a new screen & seal fitted by Auto Windscreens & it took them well over an hour. Absolute apin & took them two attepmts to get it in. Personally I wouldn't try it myself. Dave
  17. Thanks all for the info, picking it up tomorrow so will be busy over bank hol now!
  18. Anybody any experience of the Matt Wright sound proofing kit?
  19. If you don't think it's the shocks then disconnect them and see what difference it makes - don't drive like this though! Mine was really soft until I put on new standard spec ones. It's better but still way too stiff (OOH Matron!)
  20. Anybody help a mate of mine who's having to replace the drive memchanism on his 1988 90. Any help or tips as apparently it's a bit of a mare!
  21. Hi, Like you I would appreciate knowing this as well. I've just replaced the rears with cheapo original copies & whilst it's better than it was it's still not good. I reckon that a large percentage of 90's are used on road far more than for carrying heavy loads & off-roading. Perhaps a business opportunity for somebody to come up with a 'Comfort Pack' option!
