  1. I mailed the guy (no family, no relation or whatever) and I quote: its made from solid 38mm bright bar not tube and the ball joint is a trackrod end from one of the most popular 44 ton gross HGV's that drive our roads every day
  2. Why not ask Gordon (the designer) to profile his opinion or is that too easy?
  3. I've had the a-frame in hand and to be honest that looked pretty good
  4. Found their card: Gordon Jackson www.4xforce.co.uk 4xforcebits@gmail.com 01751 430228 York
  5. I looked at their rear A-frame solution and had a talk with the designer. Got his card if you need his details
  6. Same setup here on my 90 since 8 years and never had problems. The only disadvantage is you never know if the truetrack really works
  7. This time was my first visit to Peterborough after about 10 visits to Billing in the last 13 years including this year and conclusion is that I will not go to Billing any longer but maybe alternate between Eastnor and Peterborough. I am only interested in Land Rover related stands but not at all in candy's, sweets, flowershops or carp stands you see more and more in Billing. Talked to a lot of traders (including Si) and they more or less all agree that Billing is over. Did not go to Eastnor this year but seemed the weather was excellent (compared with the rain last year) and seemed it was a very good show. And for sure the organisation in Eastnor (Mark W) is far more flexible than Live Promotion
  8. Correct. They collected some stuff and then went on to P'borough. Others got stuck in the bomb alarm before the Dartford tunnel and arrived too late at the gate so they had to sleep outside
  9. This one? http://forum.ih8mud.com/merchandise-storefront/352802-auxiliary-fuse-relay-panel.html#post5240849
  10. us, being 14 cars of the Belgian Land Rover Owners Club. Look for a big white tent on the camping if you want to say hello
  11. Take a RRC chassis and shorten it to 88" and put in a 200tdi, that's my current rebuild project
  12. Had some problems once with gpsgate in Romania so decided the year after to try with 2 mice as I always carry a reserve in anyway Memory Map is ok in UK but for the rest of Europe Oziexplorer is better but that is my opinion. it is also easy to get maps from google and to calibrate them for use with Ozi with the right software
  13. i was thinking to use the oil cooler that was optional on a Series, the one you see the tube visible
  14. vnt is from Pete . If I have to refit it, I will use the 2 easy bolts on the engine and make a kind of bracket from one of the cover bolts
  15. Yesterday evening I started with putting a VNT on my 90 TD5 and first problem encountered was removing the heatshield. So question is: Do I really need to put back this shield or not?
  16. i like the idea but I miss relays. I am looking for years now to find a decent solution to switch on lights etc, found the fusebox from blue ocean very usefull but there is no box on the market with fuses and relays
  17. For the sockets, there are 2 lengths, get the longest one otherwise it does not fit on the front hubs
  18. Last year you could park next to your tent and there were more than enough toilets on the camping area
  19. Toughbook CF-18 running Windows XP with twice OziExplorer installed and 2 gps mouses: makes it easier to switch between 2 different types of maps.
  20. The rescue car looks more like one of these: http://www.neneoverland.co.uk/4x4services/camelbac_storage_canopy.php
  21. I have a leaking filler plug on my auto gearbox. The previous owner installed one with a temperature sensor that was never connected, but I only can remove it with a vise-grip and the original plug TYB100080 seems to be prone to the same problem. Or someone knows the threadsize of the plug?
  22. Do you have some pictures or partnumbers to guide me?
  23. True, but can you run a 175A alternator on vee belt?
  24. I could probably get away with 3, but I'd rather have some overkill than needing more later. Just off the top of my head: - my phone - friend's phone - gpsmap plus: - separate gps tracker - gopro - photocamera For Iphone/Ipad see also: http://timothyb.net/DIY_iPad_2_USB_Charger.html
  25. Is it possible to change all the pulleys on a 200tdi to ribbled types so you could run larger alternators?
