  1. Knowing Belgian prices for small packages abroad, it's cheaper to buy new lamps so On Thursday 23rd in the evening I am here: The Deer Park, Eastnor Castle, Ledbury, Herefordshire, HR8 1RL In the afternoon I am with Allisport, Glouchester area Henk ps I drive a lot in UK at night but no problems with my lhd lamps
  2. Do you only want to be road-legal or do they really need to be of good quality? I think I have some spare ones (but not new) and I will be in your area (Eastnor Castle) the last WE of August and back again end of September in Newbury

  5. Although present, I am not so FB minded @Si: I assume you will be in Billing but do you also go to Eastnor Castle end of August?
  6. The permanent feed to the hazard switch had the same problem so a new one also there and now all lamps work!
  7. I don't know if thi is the right place to post this but: We have a club member whose son is a great fan of Land Rover but he is paralyzed since his birth. He celebrates his 20th birthday on August 20th and his greatest hobby is collecting Land Rover and Land Rover related stickers. So my question to you is could you 'make' his day and send him a sticker of your LR club or company? thanks in advance, Henk His address: Tony Jeurissen Caetsbeek, 108 3600 - Genk Belgium
  8. This is an off-the-shelf solution but seems to be available only in Scandinavia: http://www.biltema.se/sv/Bil---MC/Bilreservdelar/Belysning/Belysning-ovrigt/Kabelsats-for-stralkastare-42680/ I installed one yesterday, very easy to do
  9. Difference is the size of the memory and if it can be flashed (=reprogrammed) or not. Tuning a MSB type ecu means you have to put a new chip in, a NNN can be reprogrammed
  10. As suggested used a test lamp instead of multimeter and indeed no light at the switch side but light at the fusebox under the seat. A temporary feed solved the problem of no standlights but not yet the dipbeam so there is improvement
  11. All fuses checked and ok, so now completely stuck
  12. Besides working on an 88, I also try to get a 1999 130 TD5 ready but yesterday I noticed that I have no lights at all (no head side or tail). Only when I pull the column switch I get the main beam on both sides. Measured all the fuses but nothing wrong there. At the light switch I get 12V on the brown (C0041-1) when it is in off position but I measure no voltage on Fuse 11 or 12 when I switch to ON position A new lifgt switch did not cure the problem. Where to start looking now? thanks, Henk
  13. Went to see a friend close to me here who just happened to be breaking a D1 and got all the connectors I need @Fatboy: really appreciate your offer, maybe I come back to you one day @others: thanks for all the links, especially the ones from Auto Spark: didn't know them Maybe see you in Great Malvern end of August
  14. I am looking for another source than Bolt on bits for these 2 and 3-way connectors as he does not ship to Belgium: http://www.ebay.co.u...=item5ae6b31be6 and http://www.ebay.co.u...=item5ae5ea9d29 and I can't change the title ...
  15. Thanks! Does it need to be pressed on the hose professionally?
  16. Maybe good to add this in the tech article of Les together with the gallery seal references?
  17. Thanks for the fast reply!
  18. I started today rebuilding my calipers basing myself on the article of Les Hanson that can be found in the archive however I noticed that contrary to what Les writes (The two seals are different - the upper one is solid and the lower one has a groove around the inside edge), the one under metal seal is the grooved one. Calipers come off a D1. I am aslo looking for the reference numbers of the rubber seals that sit between the 2 parts Thanks for advice, Henk
  19. I have a 200tdi with a pas NTC8287 on which the banjobolt is present but not the rest of the connector. Is this round connector part of the hose that goes to the steering box or separate available? If separate available, what is the partnumber? Thanks, henk
  20. I am rebuilding a LHD Series on a RRC chassis with 200tdi and need some parts but I do not know if I need to order the old or the new number: So question is what is the differene between the old and the new number? Accelerator cable 200tdi old: NTC4945 new: NTC9359 (page 474 of the Def 110 1987 onwards parts manual). There is also a change for RHD cars Flexible hose to clutch slave cylinder: old NRC7139 new NTC9055.(page 480) Thanks, Henk
  21. For my project (rebuild of existing 88 coiler with 200tdi but without axles) I found disco 300tdi axles but the brake calipers need a rebuild/change Q1: Should I rebuild them or just buy complete new ones online? Q2: If rebuild, then I go for OE seals but what about the pistons: normal or Stainless? Q3: Will the front brake calipers of a Def (with larger pistons) fit on a Disco axle? Q4: The original project had RR axles with 2 brake lines for each caliper: can I omit one line and just close this at the distribution block? Henk
  22. Registration is open now http://www.lrocb.be/treffen-2012
  23. Why? because LR can make more money from RR and D3/4 owners than from us DIY
  24. Yes, you are welcome! I think that Alan from Samson Lifting Equipment is coming over with a group Afaik the Belgian National has been degraded and focusses more on RR and D3/D4 owners rather than diy defender owners
