  1. I think I have the same issue. My 1984/5 SIII 109 is part defender bits and part series bits. I have the steering column lock and the Choke cable goes into a cast housing that seems to be part of the ignition block like yours. I dont know how to post pics but if you send me an email at jdfras@hotmail.com I'll send you a pic. I am in the process of replacing the contact part on the rear, and possibly the actual tumbler as well (hopefully not as I dont want to deal with those shear bolts). The idea of finding a complete replacement would be great...let me know if you find one. Cheers, Dave
  2. Hi All, I'm in the process of putting new front brake cylinders on my 83 109. I have replaced many a shoe in my time, but for the life of me cannot figure out how to get the springs set. They are new. Do I position the shoe, then set the spring (tuff because it's behind the hub and I don't have alot of room to use a screwdriver to pry them back in) or do I set the spring and then force the shoe into place. Should I start with the top in place or the bottom. THis is the model with two cylinders per side...top and bottom. Any and all help appreciated.
  3. Here's my newest addition to the family. 1983 SIII 109 x-MOD. Picked it up from a fellow that has owned it for the last 12 years, however it sat for the last 4-5 years. British Army brought a bunch of these over to Canada - Cold Lake Alberta for Army training exercises.
