  1. Hiya Mike, I've banged out a good few thousand miles through France and Spain in my freebie over the past 2 years. It's always been fully laden ( wife ans daughter take the proverbial kitchen sink etc... ) and it's been fine with both front and rear at 32 psi at a steady 80-85 mph wink wink. Hope this helps.
  2. They're on order and I'll take in what you said about the parts, tools etc... Cheers Les.
  3. Cheers Les, for the sake of a tenner or so it might be worth the swap. How much work to change them? I'm game for a laugh and willing to try. Or do you think this is a job for the pros? Thanks again.
  4. The car is running with EBC 4x4 pads at the moment, and they have been fantastic on genuine LR discs. It's more than likely that the discs are so worn that they have caused the uneven wear to the pads, which is to both sides as is the wear to the discs. I'll check the play in the sliders when I get them apart next week and see if there is a problem with the movement. If they're all nice and tight I'll blame it on the excesive wear and just do the straight change. And yes, I'll stick to genuine LR discs, but will continue with the EBC pads as they are ab fab. Try them and you won't go back, honestly, they stop you on a penny.
  5. Hello all, just about got as much as I could out of the discs and pads on the old freebie and need a bit of advice. I've noticed that there has been uneven wear of the pads, the top and bottom are worn to different degrees. I've been on ebay looking at some discs and pads, and whilst looking have noticed that there are a lot of caliper sliders for sale. Would this fix the uneven wear issue? and is this a common problem, as it seems there are quite a few for sale? If this is a problem solver, does anyone know how much of an issue it is to fit new sliders? Thanks for reading, please let me know what you all think before I fit new discs etc... Cheers.
  6. Thanks very much for the reply. Good advice as far as getting the genuine article is concerned. It sounds as though I'm going to have to put a few hours by to get this done. What the heck, it's all part of the pleasure of driving eh.
  7. Hello all, the cars' due a service. All the parts a ready bar the fuel filter. I've got a 2002 model and it appears there may be a choice of two. Anyone know which one I need to order, and is there any bebefit from using a genuine landy part over an aftermarket part. This is probably a simple dilemma but it's got me. Cheers all.
