  1. The v6 is a lovely engine, less prone to head gasket failure than the 1.8 in my experience and from what I read. Just check the VIS motors are working ok (see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_4NNxnxKugI ) and that the cambelts have been changed.
  2. Here's my take on an old subject for interest: https://youtu.be/Qli4jSGoDTo
  3. I've been working on fixing a radiator leak on my D1 and just did a DIY recore. I've been meaning to get around to this for about 10 years and never attempted this before, but it's a bit like household plumbing. Probably not much interest in this as most would use a rad specialist for this, but just in case, I made a video of it. See youtube link below (not sure I'm allowed to post links, but here goes anyhow, it's just there to help any others considering this or if someone fancies a challenge!) https://youtu.be/5XnVwSM00Wg
  4. I've had to fix a couple of electric window motors recently where water had found its way into the motor and seized it up by rusting it. On an MG TF and Freelander1. There must be quite a few old cars getting to that type of problem by now. I did a video when I fixed my Freelander1 rear window motor, might be useful to someone willing to have a go at fixing there's, probably be applicable to quite a lot of different cars as well. Some of the video was set a bit low, but the method is shown ok.
  5. An old post but this might help others.. Here is a video of me fixing my freelander drivers side rear electric window, probably be applicable to quite a lot of different cars as well. The motor was seized and the brushes worn. Zero cost. All good now. Some of the video was set a bit low, but the general method is shown ok:
  6. I just changed my headlamp bulb and made a help video for others. Look up my youtube channel : 'comeinhandynow' by googling it. Or see video at this link for youtube :
  7. I finally got around to fitting hub adapters so that I could fit some more modern alloys on my Discovery1. I fitted some from a Discovery3, but the choice is now vast. I made a video to help others thinking of doing the same and another video about fitting universal wheel arch extensions to cover the wheels:
