Simon re ep90 in ram, I used to use this as a bodge fix on plough depth wheel dampers, it worked well in the summer, better in the autumn and was a proper brass stud in a frost as it became too thick. However as you have said there is only one way to find out for sure , keep up the good work.. Dave W

  8. The fan looks similar to the ones on our teleporters JCB 540-70 if anyone is that intrested, Think I,ll stick to me 8274 and husky though. Dw
  9. I have used easy start(other products are availiable) to trace leaks on intercoolers at tichkover and dont see why it shouldnt work on a petrol motor DW

  11. Yup two seperate charge lights, and they both go out one always slightly slower than the first. DW
  12. batts and alts in parallel original exiter as was and extra exiter on its own charge light but fed from same place as original, so to recap yes ,I did think the exciters were seperate but thinking as i type they are not. One day i will find some one with a big ammeter and do some tests to see what is chargeing when as i think one charges and one shuts down unless sensed volts are loww ie when winching when both alts will be banging out charge i hope. Batts seem to last well under winching however. Dw
  13. My challenge truck runs two alternaters on 2 batteries in parallel and wots more the alternaters are different sizes and makes. Total charge 155 amps. Now I realize about two dozzen people who know more about these things than i do will tell me it wont work-last. However in my expieirence (you cant have too many i,s) it does work very well. Davew
  14. I recently shortened a hicap tube and the tool of choice was a metal cutting circular saw. Very clean and straicht cuts also the odd steel rivet doesnt hurt the blade. DW
  15. m22x1.5tap This will give you acess to a wide range of temp switches all availible from a factor. Tap may be bloody expensive though.!!!! dw

  17. I only enquired about the prospect of chris building some bars/tubes because i bent a sumo tr on last event and didnt feel the rock i must have hit. It was a lr catcher however which will have to be uprated to a better built bit of kit . Ideas anyone...................... Dave

  21. used em once service was sh*t product didnt arrive refund was demanded didnt happen week passed refund redemanded week laterr the fu**in product arrived 10 days after the event i wanted it for.   22. I dont know any figs but I run an 8274 with a bowmotor because it came along at the right price and have never been tempted to even think about change to another winch. Dave
  23. I reckon my wife could near write a better article than the h@@@es comic. Some of it is good but the new manuals seem to shy away from anything that isnt common mechanical sense IMHO Dave
