  1. You mean were going to have to pay this year?

Im pit crewing for Tim Platt, where does this leave me?

There is a 10 quid parking fee for the whole weekend. I think if you're crew you'll be in the pit area, but I would want Neil to confirm this.

Ross, if you sign up on the marshal's register at least then we can get hold of you to find out if you're available or not!

  2. Interested in coming to watch King Of The Valleys in person?

Want to take it the next level and help out at the event???

If you sign up as a volunteer you get free event entry, goody bags, food plus entry in to the Volunteer Raffle... This raffle will have prizes from all of the event sponsors, and a ton of swag from top USA Ultra4 teams and former KOH winners! This raffle is for volunteers only, and is gonna have some great prizes!!

If you're interested in volunteering please use the http://awdc.co.uk/index.php/marshal-registers'>marshals register form over on the AWDC site, and we'll be in touch.
  3. While your at it Neil, there is about 250 yards of rock climb about half way round the course that really caused me a pain in the arse to get over - if we could get that turned into Cat 1 that would be really handy too!!!

    LOL CHRIS BOWLER

    Hahahaha

  4. If you need any other rescue/tow vehicle. I've got a properly build 127 with 350 V8 and a proper winch., Ill be around as a spectator and happy to help out!

I've done a lot of recovery in the past and will bring my recovery pole etc

We are still looking for marshals if you fancy helping out in an official capacity over the weekend. I'd suggest PMing najw for more info. Nice LR!

  5. Unfortunately the rear shafts are taking a bit longer than anticipated and we are in Dans defender so maybe next year for the buggy. However, I am sure we will make it around the course and hopefully four times.

Sorry to hear that. I think taking it easy will be the name of the game, definitely will be a race of attrition!

  6. Some good testing at the weekend on a massive site, it goes on for ever and thanks to the J33P gang for letting gate crash their social. We are also now looking forward to KoV now our mudguards have past scrutineering.

Is the buggy going to be ready or are you using a Landie Bob?

  7. The Spectator Map and Info has just been released over on the KoV site: KoV Spectator Info

Feel free to share this link around with people and other forums etc!

    Here's the gist:

Spectators are welcome at King of the Valleys and there are no charges for admittance, parking or camping.

There will be a clearly marked route, shown on the map in yellow, which we recommend you follow and will take spectators through the middle of the site past many of the most exciting parts of the course. This track is very easy to walk in all weathers.

Catering and toilets are available adjacent to the parking area. You may camp in the parking area but there are no additional facilities. There is a live band on Saturday night.

The markers shown indicate the approximate course distance at each point.

    Please note the following:

    • No spectator vehicles permitted on site

    • Please keep children under close control and dogs on leads at all times

    • Please follow the instructions of all marshals which are for your safety

    • Please take all your rubbish home with you and do not litter

  8. I know that if I tried to drive half the stuff he does in a buggy like that, I'd be in a tree, upside down or on fire. Or all three. He seems to have a great grasp of where and what the vehicle is doing, knows when to gas it and when to blip it, and also when to hit the rear steer.

I personally get dead bored of all the southern US rock bouncing vids that pop up, but I'm happy to defend him when people say 'it's just mash the throttle and hang on'.
