I got the chassis one, I think its stronger if you land on a rock your not pushing the body up there for your not bending the body or if you have some bad body mounts you could break them and the body would be lose. I may be completely wrong but that what I see is the strongest
hi all, i was thinking the other day if people have changed the axles from a land rover axle to a different make like toyota or ford etc, and was it alot of work to do and did they have locker in?
mainly for disco 1
ok cheers for the first answer.
i use the truck mainly for off road use and road use mainly getting to and from play site and little greenlane, i was going to change the rear shaft when i get a locker i was more worried about if i needed to upgrade the front cv and shafts too.
wont be for a while yet.
hi all, i have two question for you,
1. if i buy a locker does it come as a straight swap or do i need to get it fitted in my diff casing?
2. if i buy a rear locker will i need to upgrade the front at the same time or will standard stuff be ok?
cheers lee
hi all, where the best place to get strong bolts and nuts for bumper and steering guard for a discovery 1, its a heavy duty bumper and will be used for recovery too.
what what length will i need.
lee
i had this one on my old disco and its strong enough and plus it was cheap to buy back, i'll look at a rear bumper or i'll get my dad to make something what uses the bumper bolt holes.
no i sure they didnt use them holes last time and i was hoping not to get a heavy duty bumper to be honest is there any way of making a rear point what strong enough.
hi all im after a decent recovery point for the rear of my discovery 1, i have a tank guard so im removing the tow bar so what a good recovery point for the rear.
