  1. Just a quick update on this problem , I had the car in the air today & sprayed everything I could see with a soapy water mixture but found no leaks whatsoever , Do you recon my next port of call is the non return valve in the main valve block or can I look for anything else ? note how I am avoiding the valve block like plague LOL .
  2. Ah , got what you mean now Filip , thanks for explaining it in a way that I could understand what was happening . So if I got a repair kit that should do it then ? Is it an actual 'O' ring that has gone faulty or something else ? Thanks again for your input & thanks everyone else for helping out with this one , best regards Paul .
  3. TA " HTSH " You need to Google that & have a look at there answer
  4. Sorry blanco but you misunderstood me , I know where the valve block is , I just fear the worst if I try & strip it down & it wont go back together again , I have put a bid in for a used valve block on flea bay so I can practice on that first , regards Paul .
  5. Hi Bianco , I don't know what it is but the valve block seems such a daunting task to attempt when I don't even know what I'm looking for or what it looks like , so until it goes all together I think ill leave well alone . Good luck with yours when you get around to it . 😉
  6. Hi everyone , I hope I find you all well . After all this time I still haven't tackled this EAS problem but have discovered just by chance a way of stopping the back of the car dropping on to the rear bump stops in the morning & here's how its done :- I get into the car & switch the ignition on , I give it a few seconds so all the warning lights go out & the glow plug light , then immediately open the drivers door , fire the car up & ' ' ' hey presto ' the car does the P38 dance & all is well 😲 I have been experimenting with it over the last 2 months & with the drivers door shut it drops to the bump stops nearly every time 😉 So there we have it , not a proper fix but it works for me until a later date , hope this help someone with the same problem , all the best Paul .
  7. Hello Arjan , I admire your language skills , I have enough trouble with English .Regards Paul .
  8. Cheers for that paintman , I think another auto box may be the way to go with this one , regards , Paul .
  9. Hi peeps , got issues with a slipping gearbox in drive . The truck is a M/Y 2000 DSE auto . It drives great in reverse , its just forward motion that I am lacking , tried changing the gearbox oil & that made it slightly better but its still not drivable as its slipping to much , any thoughts on this fault would be a great help . Regards , Paul .
  10. Well , well , well , Who would have thought a relay could have caused so much chaos , my very sincere thanks to Escape for his knowledge on this subject , I could have purchased a new driver & still retained the same problem . I don my hat to you sir & salute you , Thankyou .
  11. 99% on it being a glow plug problem .
  12. Cheers for that , I will get another relay the weekend & give it a go .
  13. Here we go again , its been on high high for the past week & it wont come back down , compressor running continually again so have unplugged it again
  14. I've got a nanocom from Black Box Solutions myself & found it a good all rounder , its a bit expensive new at £430 , but I purchased a second hand one off ebay for £220 , but you would have to wait for one to come up , Regards , Paul .
  15. Hi Blanco , Your box in picture 3 is a diesel tuning device that gives the engine a bit more go , As to your suspension , I think it is a worn air compressor pump as the car came back up on its own eventually . Regards , Paul .
  16. Over here in England you still have to purchase spare keys through a main dealer , I had to get a replacement last year at the cost of £264 Sterling , & guess what " THE SAME BLOODY MESSAGE CAME UP ON THE DASHBOARD " At that point I gave in , maybe the brain needs resetting . Good luck with improving the old key fob , you can only make a better job of it than Land Rover ever did
  17. My P38 tells me this every time I get into it & I have never found the fault , I have now had the truck for 10 years + & the key fob has never let me down , but I do carry some spare batteries in the centre console just in case , in my opinion don't worry about it & just enjoy your P38 until the next problem pops up , Kind regards , Paul .
  18. Cheers mate I will check on those items tomorrow although the car is still running & not cut out since the last time , but I'm pretty sure that its not the last time & it will do it again .
  19. What does WOT stand for ???
  20. Checked the wiring today & gave everything a good pull ( no fault found ) cannot get it to cut out again .
