Hi, As above the mechanic we were taking with us to the Transylvania Adventure Trophy cannot commit now We are looking for somebody that can service the vehicle and carry out any repairs where needed in the evening after each day's competing, possibly share some of the driving there and back , just a support guy that we can depend on if we have issues. All expenses will be covered and im sure there are people out there that may want to experience the challenge itself if they are looking to do it themsleves the year after or just for the scenery , besides we are going to have a good laugh if nothing else We are hoping to have the Defender Trayback pretty reliable before we venture there, well drivetrain wise anyway so maintenance will be the key. The commitment would have to be from the 6th of July to the 20th which takes into account all travelling. If anybody is willing to help, it would be much appreciated as the dates are closing in and we cannot go without a support crew. Thanks Philon & Alex

Thanks Nick Was a good shakedown for the trusty beast and we both enjoyed how the punches were laid out, made it challenging with one way in punches, not just the usual drive up to a random tree to find a punch. Thanks to those who gave me the odd push on saturday whilst i became familiar with the limits of the truck and Dan thanks for getting me in the water, wouldnt have done it without your persistance ;)Bit deeper than we thought though aye Well done to the landy behind us... to be fair i didnt realise how close you were to us lol, how did you manage not to break them axles on the rocks Thanks Alex

Yeah you could be right, on the other hand i don't think it is excessive, £40 challenge events may be availiable on a turn up for one day on one site and do your own thing basis. Using various sites, including Yarwell which isn't cheap, that and the food provided at the end of the two days competing and a good relaxed atmosphere i don't feel that the price of £145 is putting people off. Looks like we will be entering only one car now though Cheers Alex

Just a heads up, the people that want to enter but don't have there truck road legal can still compete, having spoke with vince today it's easier for people to trailer the trucks so get your entry's in Alex

Yep i took a BARS test which involved theory and driving a subaru round a stage, i also took a championship test which determined whether we were fit to rally basically, as they dont want any 14-16 year old out on the stages. Thanks for clearing that up BOW, i'll see if i can convince him

I distinctly remeber you saying you don't need a full uk drivers licence to compete on saturday is this correct? Im 16 and hold a national B rally licence which proves i can drive Cheers Alex
