  1. Its Land Rovers own quadtech body. this vehicle was owned by the engineering dept of LR. I am selling the box if anyone is interested. i have a hicap ready to go on and then a tipper when i have a bit more cash free.
  2. Yes sir, and im itching to get her muddy. Just waiting to tax her then off to find a puddle or two.
  3. Not off road but just arrived so wont be long before she gets muddy.
  4. Thank you both, i have just seen the Arbtruck body and that looks perfect for me. The hicap looks good but i need it to work too. Thanks chaps.
  5. Hi all, i am wandering if anyone has managed to make a hicap butt in to a tipper? I have a 130 tipper but i could do with a double cab but need it to tip(tree surgeon). I have seen conversions but think the HiCap looks the best if only it would tip. I hope someone out there knows of a way!?
  6. Hi all, i have a 130 tipper and would like a basket type roof rack for the truck cab. Does such a thing exist?(white one in picture. I dont like the one my mate has)
  7. Thank you, i will try my local tyre guy tomorrow then. As Matt said the 265 might be better as the spare will be useful. So easy to buy stuff for these vehicles though hey? best i get off line or it may get expensive. Thanks all, i will post pics of my progress. Ed.
  8. Ok James thank you. the BFGs do sound the most favoued tyre out there. Will the 255/85 fit the 8 spokes i have at the moment? I like the wolf rims but not sure where to get them from. I think the 130 will pull them and i dont think i will notice the lack of acceleration in her anyway. not when full of chipping etc. Is there a forum prferred supplier or should i just shop around?
  9. Hi all, my 130 tipper has 7.50s on at the moment and i would like to beef it up a bit so what wheel and tyre package would be best for the money?(£500). I could keep the wheels that are with it and just do the tyres if that helps. I am a tree surgeon so Mud pattern would be preferable. Many thanks Ed.
  10. Cograts PUX. looking forward to the pictures. Happy motoring. Ed.
  11. Hi mate, just PM me and i will get the mesage. Shrek PMd me. thak you Shrek. i had a look on the torbay 4x4 club website. they were laning last night!! damn it. Thanks chaps, be in contact soon. Ed.
  12. Thank you james, most helpful. Lets see what happens.
  13. Hi Milemarker, i must have missed the water. I live in Ogwell so just down the road. I did find a little water in the denbury lanes but my girlfriend had the disco so i was in her mini slowing going through the puddles. If you are ever out green laning and its not too risky please let me know as i only know a few round here. Ed.
  14. A friends 200 TDI 130 was running hot a couple of months ago whilst towing. i had a look at his fan and it had a nice amount of resistance and thought it may be something else. I then noticed the fan had a slight wobble from the shaft. A new viscous coupling later and all is fine. So any play and put a new one on. they are only £50 or so, cant break the bank and it eliminates the risk of it exiting through the rad.
  15. I looked at a friends defender for this problem. turned out the relay cover screw had screwed into the wiper relay. new relay and positioned better and all has been well so far.
  16. Does anyone here have the Southdown snorkel? I see hteir autumn special has one for my impending 130 defender for a good price but not as good as the clearence items version. i could make one up from therir bits for half the price. I have never fitted one so may need some help. wink wink.
