Hi there, just to clear a few things up, im the MD of the company but it was my brother who started this thread unbeknown to me! Alongside the standard doors we offer, we have just recently started doing the galvanised versions which my brother has taken control of as due to the length of time it takes to get a galv door made (adding extra welds before dipping, jigging the frame to ensure it is perfectly straight afterwards etc etc) I simply didn’t have the time to do so due to being already overstretched for the demand of the standard doors we offer.
He started this thread literally to find out if there was anyone else out there doing them to set prices as low as possible and be competitive, the intentions weren’t to spam/phise etc but simply to gain an insight into the market, though I think he could have executed it better and made his intentions clearer! The fact that our username is our company name helps show he wasn’t actually trying to do some cheap advertising as someone said, it would be a bit see through!
The only other company we have found with them is ashtree international, if you look at their website you will see how the prices compare. They use the same frames as us.
Regarding the person who bought a rear door of us which developed a crack in the frame, the door purchased was the budget/universal option we offer which as the name suggests is basically what we sell as a door that is better than a rusty one. We don’t really recommend fitting a wheel to the actual door without adding your own strenghteners as we also do an OE spec rear door alongside the budget option which has the extra strenghteners in the frame to take the weight of the wheel carrier so they don’t crack in the frame. (this is also made clear in the description)
So it is upto the customer to decide which one they want based on their budget and requirements. We could just do the expensive one but obviously not everyone can afford or require the extra features of the OE spec one. They both fit well, the only difference being the lack of extra strenghteners in the internal frame so makes an ideal part if you are on a tight budget.
I hope this helps to explain the intentions of this thread, no doubt this message could also be seen as phising or what have you but obviously needed replying to, I have only just noticed this after googling the company name hence the late reply!
Kind regards
william
