  1. I've removed and replaced rear trailing arms with the vehicle sitting on all 4 wheels, front axle chocked, so the back can move a bit to make life easier. Just do one side at a time though.
  2. I spent the weekend there with the Shire club and had a great weekend. The club area was a bit quiet and there were a few empty spaces in the traders section too . Still an enjoyable show with some great vehicles on show. Didn't spend much and tried to keep out of the sun
  3. There's at least a dozen full lengths of 100x100x8 on the rack in work if you need something a bit stronger Bish (Also a few other sizes) I think the 150x100x10 we've got is a bit OTT though
  4. Just tell her to keep away from the locals What time are you guys aimed to be at the camp site /or at the site on Friday, i'll meet you there
  5. They are on my list of things to make, just a bit of 6mm cut and bent, shouldn't be too hard
  6. It only leakes when i've got a full tank or on a side slope, so not that often . I've been thinking about fitting a sealed cap and a raised breather, but where should i put the breather?
  7. My filler cap has leaked since the day i bought it I'll get around to changing it one day
  8. At long last, a picture of Dave's hybrid in it's new colour, looks rather smart B)
  9. Fair enough, it's clear i don't have a clue about what makes a great off road vehicle, but i know what works for me, and that 265/75 works very well for me
  10. Yes, as i've improved traction on loose ground, not raised the vehicles COG and not killed the gearing
  11. I have 265/75R16 as both my road tyrea (BFg Mud) and off road tyrea (Insa Turbos) and i like them, Plenty of grip both on and off road and not suffered my with lack of ground clearance, had to alter the steering stop a little bit, but other than that, no problems with hitting the body.
  12. Looks like he's got the bug B). You should build him a rebel replica / toy lander, much better than that plastic American rubish
  13. The top of the vice should be a couple of inches below your elbow
  14. Are you going to get one so you can weld your spring mounts back on
  15. I've got a pair of these on the back of my landy and they work great, I changed them both to 100W bulbs and they work even better B)
  16. Yup. Thats Land Rover design for you
  17. No, just a big thick washer goes over the end. I think it's to allow for land rover tollerances
  18. And an EP9 with cable and rollers is 50kg What is your bumper made of to be soo heavy Mine is made from lightweight 6mm so only 25kg
  19. I know there are lots of tree slider sills, and tree body/tub sliders but what about roof sliders ? Any one seen any on a defender, i'm looking for ideas for something to protect the radius section of my hard top (and also, if possible, to cover the dents already there ) Any ideas apart from fitting a full external cage
