  1. 171 kg, reasonably easy to lift with two people
  2. Very wet and winy here in South Wales, quite a few trees down on the roads, and a few small floods
  3. 560mm from the edge of the winder knob to the edge of the cushion, and the arm rest sticks out 85mm
  4. This is what i used for my SVA, although about 2 weeks later i had a leter from Land Rover confirming it was a 1992 engine
  5. The intake to the turbo on a 200tdi is only 2.5" (64mm) outside diameter, not sure about a 300. I had some hose delivered this morning for the snorkel i'm making.
  6. I can't see any reason why it isn't possible to do, as long as you reinforce the chassis properly where the spring seats mount. If you use a 110 rear tub and cut that down, you can get it looking right, and in proportion. As Diff said, it'll need to be SVA'd, but that's not a geat problem. What was the article B.T.W ?
  7. You'd be surpised Nige, It's a very efficent service, i've used it a few times now, and the tax disk is always here within a couple of days. It's a lot easier and you don't have to dig out any paperwork
  8. I've always used straps as they are much easier / neater to store, easier to clean, and lightweight I've got a short tree strap, 5m and 10m straps and a 9m ARB snatch strap, a bunch of 4.75T shackles, a pair of masterlinks, ARB pulley block and a shortening chain.
  9. Any clues as to where this site is ?
  10. Superwinch EP9 £340 Dyneema £120 Alli fairlead £20 Longer battery cables and connectors £15 Cut off switch £6 Switches for in cab and biatch switch £9 Winch light/wire/switch £5 Winch cover nothing £515
  11. I'm not sure if it's right, but it's close to one shown on a certain orange companies website
  12. What angle did you end up with on version 4 then ?
  13. I made this one a couple of weeks ago, not had chance to try it out yet so don't know if it actually works
  14. Grid references and photos please I'm up that way on new years eve laning, could be good fun
  15. I now use a Superwinch EP9 and am very happy with it. Nice and powerfull, fast, low power draw and a very good price One way to mount a winch not in a bumper, is to use a winch tray, mounted above the chassis, similar to what Noni has on his landy. I'm sure he'll be along soon to tell you more.
  16. I've only driven the one from Llewel to Pentre-bach and that was a very nice lane, shame it's been lost now though What other lanes are up there ? I've not explored that area at all, but sounds like it'd be worth a trip if there are a few lanes up there
