Thats nice B) I presume it's 3 flat plates of steel welded together ? I want it to look as much like the standard bumper as possible but i like that tappering bit B)

Im after some ideas for a winch bumper for my defender I'm going to be fabricating it myself and want some inspiration Lets see yours B) How thick steel should i use ? 6mm OK ?

I like those eyes B) They would lie flat and yet be big enough to get a rope / bungy/ ratchet through. Do they rattle about though ? Two ideas so far eyes rails any others ?

Rear speakers in a Defender

I can hear the radio perfectly well in my rattly diesel defender Thats only because i have two speekers about 8" away from my ears -

B) Excellent I've got one of those fantastic disk handbrakes so no problems with the brackets

I presume the 1.2 box is a straight swap for a 1.4 box ? or did land rover in their wisdom make them completely different

Thanks for the offer, but i've got it sused now, from Marks program i just wanted to see how much difference the transfer box and tyre size makes just need to find the money, parts and time

Well after playing with the numbers, changing to a disco lt230 and 33" tyres may be a bit too high geared I'll see what difference the bigger tyres make first before deciding on changing the box

I'm trying to find a computer program and i'm sure someone in here had it It's the one for working out speeds in each gear for different gear box / diff ratios and tyre sizes Anyone know where i can find it tar very muchly

All the bushes were changed a few months before i bought the donor vehicle (june) with standard landy rubber and I removed the boge when i rebuilt the vehicle. The clonk seems to have stopped for the moment, but i'm sure it'll return in typical land rover fashion
