  1. I remember it well Steve, thats why I don't want to rush into using it at Tonys as I haven't tried it out yet (it still isn't fully back together!). Hopefully we won't get into any situations like that this time! What have you done to the Range Rover? Been out with the T cut or something a little more involved? A few more I've found of yours in it's previous life... And one of my favourite Land Rover photos as it sums up why I like driving mine: When everything else is broken or stuck, it just sits there chugging away merrily
  2. One of my favourites so far, will have to have a play somewhere with the new camera to see if I can get something better...
  3. I had a look at their 90 on the stand at Billing, and wasn't the spring on the drooping side longer than the one on the ramp?
  4. Thats not yours is it Dave? I mean it's not blue
  5. Sorry for not committing to anything sooner Tony but I haven't really been sure whats happening as Mark wasn't sure if he'd have a vehicle and I didn't know whether I'd have a winch, but as long as we'll manage with 1 winch then and there's space count Steve and I in as a team I don't want to use the shiney new plasma until I've got a proper fairlead made up, which I might/might not have in time, though if I don't then we can always use the wire if needs be, it's just it's nasty stuff and has got a kink or two in it now So to summarise that in a few words: Me + Steve entering excuse excuse excuse... Ah, just noticed Les's reply has changed from what it was earlier - argh! Richard
  6. Steve, will you have your winch working by then? Mine now works but I'm not sure whether it'll have a fairlead so might not be able to use it. I don't think Mark is going to have his 90 finished so we could team up maybe? Thats if you can limit the beers and tree felling the night before! If not I'll be there anyway as a monkey/photographer/helping set up so it's up to you. Richard
  7. I had no idea it was that grim oop norf Kev - living daan sarf I don't have this problem of my lights being shot all the time Has anyone tested them to see if they're tree-proof? I mean if you drive into a tree/bank/whatever and the light is the first thing to hit then it's not going to stop the vehicle dead - does the bracket allow it to move and absorb some of the impact? I'd say thats probably more real world than shooting at them, impressive as it is! Richard
  8. Ooooh I might be free that weekend, anyone need a biatch/photographer/helper etc. unless I can persuade Jonathan to bring the 90 up? I'll have my car with me so transport to the site wouldn't be a problem
  9. I'm sure I can spare a few quid, the amount these forums save me in repair bills it's well worth it! Not sure if Geoff wants to post how much it costs for this but it might be nice to give a rough idea so that he's not left out of pocket? Richard
  10. Looks good, is the LRE one disappearing for good sometime then?
