Does anyone know if Harwich International port is open on weekends. I've got the booking reference so
I only need to drop the car of at the holding place. Tried to find their opening hours but they are not
on any of the websites I've looked at.
Added for anyone who is interested:
We are open for receipt of unacc cargo as follows:- 0600 - 2100 Monday -
Friday 0900 - 1600 Saturday & Sunday Bank holidays.
Closed Driver to report to Freight Services Office.

Leading on from this. Is it ok if I just fit racing harnesses and does anyone have a diagram/pointer to the mounts I
need to make it legal/safe.

Hi Lars
Ole here jolly good you are back on the "right" track again, I can see that you are going to Polen with Bo o september, the best off luck with that and the "new" car.
Kind regards
Ole.
Hi Ole,
Jups everything has finally fallen into place with Transgothica.
Just had a closer look at "new car" it in daylight. Can't believe how good a state it's in.
Now if I wasn't going to spend all my money racing this month I would rush out and
start buying bits.
Kind Regards, Lars

I've just aquired a Series 2 from 1958. I'm going to put seat belts in it
but I was just curious if it's a legal requirement.
/Lars - Finally back on all fours again..

Your last comment suggests a V8, but with no information on what you intend to use the 110 for it's rather hard to give any advice.
I don't need to drive on a daily basis so I'm not that picky about milage and I like the sound of the V8.
As for usage it will probably be driving around the UK (mostly hauling MTBs) and hopefully taking it to Africa at some point.
I know petrol isn't awesome for africa but it was more for the enjoyment while driving around the UK.
So the question is probably more if you get more power for your money if you get a V8 then a diesel.

What should I think of buying? Thinking of getting a 110.
What milage is sensible for a 200tdi, 300tdi or a V8.
Fuel economy is not important.
When did series 2s stop being 2l petrol?

When did Land Rover start putting the new engine in and does anyone have some pictures
that can be used to identify the 2l vs the 2.25?
