After much pulling at it using a gear puller and the pulley reattached nothing happened except breaking the pulley and distorting the puller. I have tried spraying it daily with penetrating oil since Saturday but still no movement. I have now tried heating it but alas no movement Has anybody got any more tips before i try and gently tickle it with the angle grinder? Thanks Ben

  20. I am trying to remove a 3 bolt diff flange from a disco 24 sp axle so that i can fit my four bolt flange from an old drum brake rear axle. I have tried using a gear puller to remove the 3 bolt flange and with alot of tension and tapping with a lump hammer still no movement. Any tips on removing the flange? Now the really soft in the head question. The flange on my old axle looks to be held on with a large 30mm nut, where as the disco axle looks like the flange is pressed on. Will i be able to fit my 4 bolt flange to my disco axle? Any help on the matter would be great. cheers ben
