sounds like a great idea,
would everybody not enjoy it more?? as it concentrates more on the ability of the person to drive the car and make decisions on routes to drive instead of just relying on winches and aids
yeah tyres made a big difference,
going to order a pair of es9000 +2 shocks and pair of dislocations cones D4x4 seems suprisingly cheap for cones.
would extended brake lines be adviseable?
cheers for another great day out,
broke a shock absorber and it does make much difference to the handling , think i will get some +2 inch shocks for the rear
can i just keep it simple and pay cash on the day?

Below are two photos showing the actual lock assembly and then the bit that goes onto the end of the lock barrel.
The photo doesnt show it very well but the glass comes up behind the lock assembly and there is only a small gap, which after measuring looks to small to fit a series 3 lock behind.
First off sorry to the mods but i need answers super quick.
I have a pair of lift up handle doors which have winding windows which i need the lock assembly and barrel locks for.
The problem is after talking to 4x4Store Exeter and Brookwells it seems Land Rover dont make or sell the assemblies or barrels any more.
I cant fit series 3 door handles as the glass gets in the way
Anybody got some desperately needed lock assemblies with barrels and keys that i can buy?
Or any ideas as to get around this problem?
Many thanks
ben
i found that the glazing seals came off readily as they have small screws holding them on, and when they are removed then the rest of the door trim/plastic comes off readily.
white90,
with your twin tank system did you have a smartveg style controller that changed from derv to veg when the veg oil got to temperature?
how did you warm the veg oil e.g. from heater hoses?
cheers
ben
i tried threading the bolt in normally and it only goes in a about four complete revolutions before going very tight, although it is not obviously crossed threaded.
think i shall go to the 4x4store with bolts in hand tomorrow
