  1. Sport models were all TD4/KV6, which share the same springs...
  2. Is there any springs available "off the shelf" to lower a Freelander by 15-20mm? Its a long story, but all will be revealed soon. Looked at the Sport models, but they were never available as a 1.8, so spring rates are all different. Found a set of H&R springs online, but they don't differentiate between 1.8, and TD4/KV6 models, so I suspect I will have similar issues as the Sport springs... Any ideas anyone?
  3. I have a set of 16"s available Were removed from a 2001 TD4
  4. Price dependant, I would be interested in a sump guard
  5. I have a good 2nd hand unit available, if you are interested
  6. MEMS3 is the engine management system for 01MY>on K-Series models... IMHO, its a no-go...
  7. It would probably be easier to fit the TD4 engine into it, due to model years... The early K-Series and L-series engine wiring looms are very similar, and can be adapted to each other. Wouldn't like to wire in an L-series to a MEMS3 loom...
  8. If you need a VCU, I have one from a car I am breaking if interested. Was fully tested before removal
  9. I am breaking one, but again, its an early one... http://shop.ebay.co.uk/emti-time/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=25
  10. I have a set of latches for sale http://shop.ebay.co.uk/emti-time/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=25
  11. If you need a box, i am breaking an L-series over the next few days
  12. Passenger side front wing Just look under the front bumper on the pass. side. If there is a metal pipe coming out the bottom of it, it has a pre heater
  13. Do you have fuel pressure?
  14. Ideally need the fault codes read off it first, but if it wont run on easy start, it points towards an ignition problem. Try taking the plugs out and see if they are sparking
  15. Sounds like the regulator has just died...
  16. Just like mine! V/C seized up, and has minced the IRD/Transfer Box, hence why it is being broken for spares Started making horrendous banging noises from underneath, and by that point, its too late
  17. Nothing fitted under the seats, only CD changer and H/K amp, if your car has them...
  18. They are not exactly common for breaking, but its also not unheard of. Just changed another one last week. Was slipping in 4th and 5th gears, then slammed itself into 4th and went into fault mode... Try draining a bit of oil. If it smells really strong, and is almost black, then will require a new box, or a rebuild
  19. Buy my autobox! http://shop.ebay.co.uk/emti-time/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=25 Seriously though, there are a lot of differences between auto/manuals. Pedal box Gear selector mechanism G/Box mount Cooling system pipes Will need clutch hydraulics Would be much cheaper and easier to just replace the gearbox
