I see what you mean but it IS Diff oil that is coming out so surely that means that the stub axle seal is goosed or am I just a bit thick

Some advice for a newbie to this Landy game please. The rear axle on my 90 is leaking what seems to be diff oil which is running onto the brake disc. Obviously an oil seal has gone but which one do I need?. FTC5268 Stub Axle Seal or FTC4785 Hub Seal.

I"ve got problems with the exhaust on my TDi 300. Taken the middle section of exhaust off today to replace it and both bolts on the front downpipe collar have sheared off. What a stupid design to have permanently fixed pins instead of loose bolts through holes (like the rear one). So what do I do now?. I recently bought a 1988 Defender with a TDI300 engine in and was wondering if there is any way to find out the year of the engine. The engine number is - 16L07479A. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
