Hi me again. My P38 is frozen up again, but I shan't use it until after the big thaw. When I do get round to starting it again I will empty the compressor of water as previously suggested, but where is the the drain screw, & where is the desiccant ? Regards sawcospoff

Thanks for the reply David. ( You had time to open the bonnet and physically check the compressor, but it sounds as though you didn't take advantage of that time.) If I Had gone under the bonnet David I wouldn't have known what to look for, or what to do at it. Cheers

Hi < and A Merry Christmas to every-one on line. I have a 1997 4.6 P38, which is giving me good service and a lot of enjoyment,but after a few days of being frozen up in this bad weather when I came to start it I got all four lights on my level indicator flashing, but my cars suspension didn't rise. After a couple of try's I got three bleeps and the EAS Fault notice on my dash. I'm thinking maybe the compressor is frozen up. Will it rectify itself after it's thawed out, or is it deep pockets time ?

Yes a key on its own is £6 +vat. The dealer took my number out of the front windscreen and ordered it on that. It only took a week to arrive.

It appears to be clear water so I would suspect rainwater, and it's in the drivers footwell under the gas pedal. It's a RHD by the way Preg P38 have I confused yoy with saying the gas pedal ? I can't spell accelerator. lol

Hi I have water in my footwell and my carpet is wet through. Are there any water pipes over the top of my gas pedal, or could it be a windscreen seal leak ? What do you think ? Please help. P reg P38

Thanks for the replys, but no I have no warning lights on, and the motor sank over night slowly I would immagine. I will press the inhibit switch like you say and see how it goes from there.

CAN NO ONE HELP ?

I wnt out on Saturday & on Sunday morning she was on the bump stops. I went out Sunday she rose up OK, but then on Monday morning she was on bump stops again. I went out Monday morning and she rose up OK and today Wednesday she is still floating high. Whatever is the problem ? Please help someone. Regards Sawcospoff

My P38 seatbelt appears too short for me to drive comfortably. I am 5'6" tall and need my seat well forward to reach the pedals, but cannot look to my left to see if the road is clear to proceed as I'm like a trussed up chicken. Do they make seat belt extensions, or can I buy a longer seat belt ?

Hello to you all. I have just bought a 1997 Range Rover, which is in belting cindition, but a bit thirsty, because it's a 4.6 HSE Petrol. When I open the bonnet and look to the top most alluminium pipe it has what looks like a black plastic turn button. Well this is missing on mine, and it is just taped up. What is it for and what does it do if you turn it. Is it any detriment ?
