Hi all been a longtime since i last posted. Finally got myself another disco whic h is a V8 but i want to convert it to a 300 TDI. Does anyone know where I can buy a set of engine mounbting brackets for the chassis and also the measurements for welding them on? Ally

Ok finally got round to checking out the play in the rear diff there is no play at all (up down in or out) so could it just be the seal and bearing's could i get away with running it with the diff lock on and disconect the rear prop till i can get it sorted (prob be about a week) or is this not advisable? Alex

Thanks for the advice guys will checked it for play (up and down) and there wass none bit didnt think to check it in and out will try it later and report back

Hi lookin for some advice the rear diff on my 94 300 tdi disco has started to whine ocasionaly when you ease of the accelerator and the oil has started to leak from the seal where the prop conects to the diff. could it just be the seal that needs replaced or is it the bearings? Is this an easy job for the diy mechanic or would it be best left to someone who know's what they're doing or would it just be as easy to source a second hand diff and fit that instead? Hi there and welcome from a fellow disco owner have you tried Lix Toll in kilin for parts a guy i used to work for bought the majority of his parts from them they even have landie's for breaking at times. What a fantastic part of the country you live in the wife and i used to drive up your way all the time when we stayed in Dumbarton dont get up there too often now that we line in northern ireland but still come back for holidays/camping trips.
