  2. abbingdon show is coming up and there course there is ideal to find out what your landy can do there is even very helpful marshals to advise well worth a day out

  5. ok then spoke to man with intercooler and found out why i fix mates landy it was the aircon he was looking at now the big question it does have an intercooler fitted that runs across the rad rather than up the side like normal the owner has ne clue what it came off seems to work well with minor mods any one fitted anythiong like it or might no what fits best

  7. ok her we go my mate has just been looking at a second intercooler fitted to a disco and he is adament it had a fan on the intercooler that ran full time i have never seen a td5 intercooler so do the have a fan if it is not a td5 any ideas on what intercooler it might be as i seen to have been given the job of finding and fitting it i supose i should ask if there is any major down sides to having two intercoolers aswell i get all the good jobs
  8. ok i have a 300 tdi and in the mornings it suffers from a flat battary but if i do high milage it lasts a week befor it goes flat today i noticed that when my lights were on they went bright then dim i think this is the alt working intermitantly am i right before i spend my money on an alt any advice would be very apreciated regards mark

  10. has any one offer to help tom i do not go there but there seems to be a people who like the place if any one could contact him i am sure that even if he had suport via email to the relevent people in the council may help his case to many places like this are disapering and it would be a shame to let another one go with out a fight
  11. there are a few things you can try first the most simple spray whole thing with wd 40 somtimes this does work secondly look at the earth then make sure you have a live to the lamp holder if there is no live run a temp one from the other side to get cert then when in you hand have a proper look failing that a tap with landrover special tool no one may be needed
  12. i am thinking about putting a biger turbo on my 300tdi i was wondering what would be the best one to use i have been told iveco ones fit but not sure any one fitted one also is there any down sides like will i destroy the engine ect ect regards mark
  13. there is another problem with browns gas it is very unstable and explosive your car is produsing hydrogen under its bonet i would hate to think what insurance companys would make of it when u look at lpg systems is regulations and in the uk insurance company like a cert now and there is a reason behind there thinking saftey
  14. wont fit anything else to my trucks tryed a few makes and these are awsome the prices are good to not much more than a remold but safer
  15. not on a disco but on my old car the garadge were it got broke paid for the repair they just needed perswading speek to the manager if no joy ask for the owner its amazing how helpfull they will be when small claims is mentioned
  16. paid 695 for my m reg with 170 on the clock its just hit 200 and pulls like a train no probs atall and there will be rust somwere its a disco found mine rust under the plastin iner arches
  17. i agree totaly but even with a lift when the axles articulate they will catch the very back edge of the arch and there are plenty of inch and a half spring around my advice would be go for the hard ones and you will be able to keep your antiroll bar so there sjould be no affect on the road manners of your truck red line shows were the cut can be made and blue line shows why hope this helps
  18. i had the same prob just the other week scrap the erg use a 200 tdi intrcooler top hose and a blanking plate all my power came back less smoke and as an added bonus i seem to get more mpg regards mark this is the link to pics http://forums.lr4x4.com/index.php?showtopic=29247
  19. you may find that the lift will not solve your probs if u look in search about camle cuts it will tell you how to solve the catching its worth doing looks extreem way to solve rob but your back quaters look so nice stright would be a shame to bend one when the wheel catches the back edge regards mark p.s truk looking good
  20. i am with walfy on this one it might be an idea to have 4 spares between you tho just incase it does ripe the valves out or mess up the rims regards mark

  22. ok i suspect my erg has gone if i get a blanking plate i take it it goes between the turbo inlet and pipe ? and when in place can i strip the rest if anyone has done it any chance of a pic regards mark
  23. befor striping your difs look very close at your props there may be a small amount of ware in the uv joint if that is the case a siple and cheep repair and tend to go before a diff regards mark
