  4. hi all i have just fitted a new carb on the quad bike and now when i start it it is fine for about 20 ft then it loses power then if i leave it ticking over for a few secondes its back to full power for another 20 ft .i am hoping someone can help
  5. i think they have a relay on the heater plugs maybe start with that ?
  6. i dont want to sound perverted but i always stop for women that have broke down only as i think i would like it if someone stop for my mrs. i was on my way home a while ago now and there was a car in the middle of the road and a young mum behind the wheel she had a baby in the car seat and everyone was just beeping at her and driving round. i could not believe it. i did the same as the guy above and helped her out. it makes you feel like a gentleman
  7. i did my 90 with fiberglass resin then black paint over that and that was about 6 years ago no. and it i go out to it right now and rub the dust off it is still like new underneath it just dose not flak or peel like paint
  8. i just put it on a tee piece of the turbo and have the controller on the dash .i fitter a boost gauge at the same time.
  9. i got it from ebay and it was only £20 just remember not to set it to high as you can damage the turbo. i fitted a boost gauge at the same time just to be sure not to over boost.

  12. that sounds like a UJ going they make a screching sound when they are on there way out
  13. sounds like the diff you put in has play in the bearing's i have had a few go like that and they only make that rumble sound when you are engine breaking .
  14. what your describing is what i had my truck would take ages to start but once started would be fine for rest of the day . maybe try the [ bleed off flexies] first would be cheaper .
  15. well my lift pump feels the same when tiring to prim by hand.if you get a pin hole in the small return lines on the top of the engine then the fuel will drain back to the tank.that is what happened to me always took ages to start but once it did it was fine for the rest of the day .
  16. you can add petrol to it this time of year to stop it gelling up .
  17. just wondered if anyone else has noticed .as i have noticed that most of the lanes that have been shut that i used to drive have almost completely grown over. i think that when we drive down them we keep them clear .i always got grief of the ramblers for driving down byways but now i think we are doing more good than, harm .?any thoughts.
  18. hi there i had this same thing with my 90 i could turn the wheel with my little finger in the end i changed the steering box and its been fine ever since.

  21. that is just what happened to me tiny pin hole in the pipe letting air in so fuel was draining back.
  22. i went along the foss way and came to an area that had been destroyed by some twats in offroders they even smashed through 2x farmers gates and wheel span up the fields.they are the ones that are giving it a bad name.i believe that by green laneing the lanes are keept open and that they would soon get overgrown.
  23. how much water are we talking about if its not that much you can put a fish tank bubblier in the bottom and let it bubble dry it should be nice and clear when dry .also you can take a small sample after and add it to a hot frying pan [outside] if it baubles up then there is still water present.
  24. yeh your right Les but a friend convinced me there was a timing chain behind the timing case and i have never taken the hole timing case off. so thanks for that as you saved me more work. can you suggest anything we can try as we are running out of things to try many thanks .
