  1. I got it on a cd, ready to go. But, it seems I am missing a program to open the files. can someone tell me which one? Thanks m
  2. Sorry, was not my attempt being rude. MS or 316 is the wrong type of wire and will fail. ER 309 is the correct one for stainless to mild s.. Any welding on SS with the oxy is wrong right from the start. Carbonising flame is something you will not have on SS, definitely. Using any gas with more than 3-5% CO2 will have a very negative effect on corrosion. Carbonising again. But, if you are welding an exhaust or simliar using MS wire and gas on your MIG will work and probably last for a long time. For anything else with more importance seek a good welding shop. m
  3. hopefully you are not in the welding trade....m
  4. You can valve the King`s to suit your car and driving style, but make sure you are using the full travel, otherwise your bypasses are pretty much useless. You will need decent mounts otherwise they will rip off...and yes, do not try valving to reduce body roll.m
  5. I got a TFT 727 for sale, never fitted after rebuild. Build by AJW ( he has done most of the special work for Ashcroft). Reinforced internals, AJW manual valve body with REVERSE pattern, Art-Carr shifter and TQ convertor adjusted for my John Eales build 5.2 with similar output =nice direkt drive. I also got all the brackets AND the special V8 sump (mod. by JE) to go with. Ali /AJW rates the TFT in this form good for 500hp in offroad racing......m
  6. Andy@Ruftraks every time. And it is Plasma 12 Rope...still the one.m
  7. Hi Steve, Even I had troubles getting LHD units from France without travelling the whole world. If you get a decent set for around £1000back and £1400 for the front end take it and be a happy man! Even in AUS they becoming expensive. You may get a beter deal getting a LHD and buy the RHD swivel . I used a special ARB sideplate, which uses as bigger Toyota 80 series bearing to prevent ripping the locker in pieces. I heard about a new ARB locker coming out soon for the Y61 to prevent this. m
  8. Filling up with Nitrogen is the way to go. Gives you the best results (because of gas atoms friction/ heat build up).I think all big shock brands are using the schrader valve.m
  9. Yes, 150-200psi. Best to get a kit from one of the big shocks companies like Fox or King. I am sure Milner Offroad UK sells them as well. If you use it very rarely, ask at a welding shop.m
  10. I have to say that this years ferry for going to Billing show will cost me only euro 128.- for a 110. Channel-Tunnel quote was about euro 240.-...In previous years I paid up to £250.- for the crossing, so my budget for parts is still intact. And if we talking about diesel cost going up blah,blah..., the quote for shipping the car to AUS from Europe was the very same as I paid in 2005. Sometimes I don`t get the point, but that is maybe just me. cheers m
  11. There are 4-link kits floating on eflay. But the heims are probably poor quality. I guess, there is too much welding/cuting involved to make a kit ready to fit, IMO. Biggest job on my 4-link was to notch crossmember to make space for upper arms at full bump.
  12. Are you sure with your centre of gravity( height)? There also some unwritten rules in therms of length difference between lower and upper arms and angles. You should have the arms at a minimum of 40% (lower or upper, or combined). But this is just my opinion. Do let you pull off doing the job right. It will pay off...and make those brackets ADJUSTABLE!!! m
